I wouldn't call being bipolar a deficit since God made you that way and he doesn't make mistakes.
You are looking good from here.
Amen to that bro. It is definitely a deficit for those like me who lived with it undiagnosed and wondering why they are the way they are. Properly treated, you’re totally symptom free. One of many reasons I’m pursuing my PhD. Nothing means more to me than giving back to hurting people.

Anyhow lol back to the build ;)

Was going to go with Team Z control arms but I decided to splurge on the superior billet aluminum Metco units. I’m spending more money on the driveline in this car than any previous builds. I’ve learned how meaningless power can be with no traction. The Saleen was definitely on par quality wise but this is more straight line oriented

Well we’re going to do what it takes to run full 3” polished tailpipes on the car. I’ll most likely position the tail pipes in the car first and built the rest of the exhaust around it. Once it’s designed we’ll weld v band connections. Pypes just came out with full polished mandrel bent tails vs the more popular flowmaster version that were only partially polished with the tips welded on. These are far cleaner

Brief soliloquy lol
I always get a kick out of people who don’t understand why premium built cars carry premium price tags..especially when they’re totally new. Even more interesting is people thinking premium cars can be built on a budget. They...can...not. Period. I keep tabs on every dollar I spend on a build sometimes I just sit back and shake my head. I get 95% of my new parts at wholesale through various sources and I STILL can’t keep a full build under $40k cost. This car is no different.
I just crossed the $40k threshold and this is what it bought to date. Thankfully the end of part sourcing is somewhat near. I can’t imagine if I had to add traditional labor expenses.

I can't believe you only just crossed the $40K mark. I'm doing a 69 Camaro build that is in the mid 50's now. That doesn't even include the car itself, paint, body work, labor, taxes, or shipping. And it's not done yet

You are putting this car together correctly now and aren't wasting any money that way. Buying parts twice is a waste of money. Buy once, cry once. Keep up the good work!

My offer of $12k still stands.
Too high. Come down a bit and we’ll talk

Right, that’s just parts. Add in the roller, paint etc and I’m over $50k. Seems to be about the norm

I'd rather spend $50K on a car I can be proud of and appreciate than dropping it on a new one from the factory that anyone can get a loan for and then be worth 15% of its value in 8 years.

People love taking the easy road and to me, that's boring for the most part. I'm going to be rebuilding my 91 GT soon so I'm checking your progress often!

I've got to say that I'm not a fox body lover at all...missed it by a couple years. But this thread had me all hot and bothered. Awesome build!

Any tips on how to get parts at wholesale pricing?
