Anyone gone from a 350R to 2020 500?

So does Ford make a profit in the end on a 3 year run for this GT500.

With all the R&D, Testing,Production costs will they make money on it?

Assume they are since they know it will only be a 3 year run. Does the MSRP price take all those associated costs into consideration?

No doubt the high MSRP is reflective of the plan in place.

To us it would seem counterproductive. But look at the '03/'04 Cobra or the '13/'14 GT500. Those were only two years. I would hope the current GT500 makes it at least three. I'm fairly certain we won't see another "large" displacement ICE-only, performance Mustang after the GT350/GT500 in their current forms. Get 'em while they're hot.

Interesting. You think this 5.2 current version GT500 will be the end?

Are you thinking eco-boost of some sort for next generation?

Nobody really knows, and even those on the inside that actually do know future plans, know that those may be changing.
I’m with Tob, get em while they’re hot.
I do think they’ll keep a true ICE only performance Mustang, but that the next top model will be hybrid power train.

I agree on every point J.

Ford is under quite a bit of pressure from Wall Street to perform, or else. They don't understand why a single dollar would be spent on a fossil fuel burning engine.

I don't know.. call me blasphemer but Tesla's are pretty damn awesome.

I'd be down for a fully electric Mustang if it had the same 0-60 as a Tesla :)

Ford's V8's and Power stroke motor's are their bread and butter. How can Morgan Stanley misconstrue that and think Ford was going to go balls to the wall in designing and electrical platform?

Tesla is commended for what they've done. But an electric performance Mustang beyond the atrocious Mustang crossover? Not everyone wants EV, or an EV Mustang. IMO there is no reason to move entirely to EV. What's next? 100% all-electric homes with no oil or gas options? I can't help but wonder as PC pressured companies and industries are moving to all-green, can we even handle the load of going all-green.

Thank the Government and regulations. Just look at the “performance/aftermarket parts suppliers”. Things are already about to be completely different and already taking place.

I'd absolutely love a rocket ship AWD full electric.. in a mid size truck (with good looks).
think about 0-60 in under 3 seconds. tow with ease. shit, I wouldn't care if it made a peep. I'd just crank the tunes and tow my boat on over to the fishing hole.

Looks are subjective, I know.
I don't like the front or rear of that at all.
Give me some style. sharp lines and I'd be in.
It's the problem with these electric manufacturers.... no style
I do like that neo sports car tho
