My dad was there and saw the whole thing. I am very proud of my father, he will be 95 in May.
One of the few that raised the flag that returned from there. Too bad his life did not turn out better.
I’ve only read a couple books about that Goddamn island, so I’m by no means an expert, but it’s unimaginable to me what that must have been like.
