Looks like a nice piece.
Is the water leak on the drivers side?
It's hard to tell. Looks like both sides. I bought a pressure tester I'm going to try and use. The leak isn't bad, and it's less when the temps outside are warmer.
Why did you change it we're you getting vibrations while driving?
Last summer I changed it out because the rubber seal was coming out. I basically got that damper for free. Because I bought off eBay and it was listed as a Ford part, and it was not. I figured might as well buy a better one, especially since it needs to come off to replace timing cover.

Just need to order some arp timing chain cover and water pump bolts.

It had a leak when I got it too. It looked to me that it was coming from the front of the intake so I put an intake gasket on and the leak went away. Thought I had it fixed, and maybe I did and it has one from someplace else or maybe it wasn't from the intake gasket at all.

Sounds good. It didn't leak on me at all during the summer. Seemed to show up after sitting for a couple months in storage. No biggie!

This looks tempting.

Well it looks like the Edelbrock water pump that was replaced in 2018 could be bad. Unless some leaking out the weep hole while sitting in storage for months is normal.

Glad it wasn't the intake. That had me puzzled.
Yeah visually the intake looks good. I re-torqued the intake bolts when I replaced valve cover gaskets.

The above picture is while doing a pressure test. Nothing else was leaking at the time. I'll try again once it's out of storage and engine is warm.

If it is the water pump, I should still replace the timing cover and gaskets while I'm in there.

Just not sure if it's worth going edlebrock again?

I've been looking at the high performance GMB. Solid reviews. My only concern is my car doesn't have the heater core, nor the hardlines.

I've been told, the tube not being used on the water pump can be pulled off, then tap a fitting for a plug.

I'll check the brand name you mentioned as well.

Well temps here have been 30-40's for the highs. Now the timing cover gasket and timing cover gasket appears to be dry. And not leaking as much. Hmm.

And now LMR offers a non cruise control steering wheel....ugh.

Looks like I'll order up the correct one.

yeah I saw that was thinking about ordering one cause mine looks Kinda old.
I'm ordering right now. Hopefully sell my "like new" one. I paid 100.00 and added nos cruise control buttons. Hopefully I can get a 100.00 back. LMR is now selling them for 75.00 on eBay. Minor flaws.

I have an Edelbrock WP sitting in the box for a long time now. How can I test it for leaks before installing it?

Is it brand new? I verify the top bolts are snug. They have a weap hole that can indicate a bad seal in the wp. But that's when it's connected. Unless a person takes it apart.

It is brand new but would hate to go through all the work for it to fail upon start up. It’s been along time since I’ve replaced the water pump on a small block Ford and now with a Vortech supercharger on this car not sure if I’m up for taking it apart.

I wouldn't worry and install it whenever you decide to.

It's 63 degrees here today in Minnesota. Decided to start the car and see if I can track down the coolant leak. No dice, it stayed dry the whole time.

But now my fuel gauge isn't working...it moves a little but stays around empty. I stored it with a full tank.

Ran it for about 20 minutes, but didn't drive it.

My fox always drips a bit of antifreeze in cold storage. If you want to find the leak use a pressure tester and let it sit a few hours or overnight.

I'll give that a try again. But if it only does it in storage I may not worry to much.

I need to figure out why my fuel gauge isn't working now.

It's a Autometer one. I was told by the previous owner that installed them, that the fuel gauge is programmable. But would it need to be recalibrated after sitting and battery disconnected for nearly 5 months? I don't want to deal with that every spring.

All other gauges work and are connected together on same ground. Maybe I'll ask Autometer.
