Hi, I'm interested in boosting my 99 Cobra, and had some questions about the Procharger setup. If I stay at 10 lb would I need an upgraded clutch or injectors? Is the kit with the Diablo tuner sufficient for conservative, reliable power? Is there a cheap, easy tuning option that would save money overall vs. the kit with the Diablo tuner which is $1000 more than without it? Thanks.

depends on the health of the clutch, car should make mid 400s. I'd roll with it and if it starts slipping then replace it.

You will need more pump and injectors.

Personally I dont see many people tuning with Diablo these days. I would probably forgo the tuner and buy one through you local shop where you can have it dyno tuned.

If you're going new pick up the tuner kit. Get your own pump, MAF, and injectors. There are so many options out there now there's really no reason not to.

Skip the Diablo set up. Find a good tuner and go with what they use. Whether you get a remote or dyno tune make sure you install a good wideband.

I have an Eaton but 440 rwhp and run drag radials. Have since 2012 and the stock clutch doesn't slip at all (60K miles total on it). For fuel system I have a stock 03 setup and MAF.

Awesome. Have you tracked the car with this setup?

Yeah one time. I went 12.0 at 117 (4 passes total from 12.2 to 12.0 always at 117). Car would be quicker but I have 4.30 gears (from when NA) and hit the limiter in 4th before the end of the quarter.

Also didn't heat the tires because I didn't want to dead hook and break something. My 60 foot were high 1.6s to low 1.7. This is on stock suspension but with lowering spring.

Car is a summer toy and could go quicker with some changes but makes for a fun street car so I just leave it.

Yeah the first thing I wanted to do was get 4.10s or 4.30s because it seems like they geared this thing for the autobahn lol. But as is, it seems like launching would be easier with stock gearing with a mild boost setup. My goals are pretty much identical to yours. Would like a weekend car with enough power to be fun and keep up with the modern muscle once in a while. Don't want the headache and moneypit of a 500+ hp car.

I'd wait until you have the blower on before deciding on gears. I had the stock 3.27's with a D1 and the 3650 and was happy with how it acted. When I went to the T-56 I went with 3.90's and it was fun. But I would have preferred a little lower cruising RPM on the freeway.
