Damn, this was their family hauler too. Whenever Tesla comes out with their next gen super car, it’s going to hurt lots of feelings.

For everyone nit picking about roll racing and trap speeds, just remember that we are still in the very early days of performance electric cars, and major advancements are happening all the time. Can’t say that about ICE tech. Their days are most definitely numbered.

Roll race and especially on a track it will be different story.

There is vid on youtube of a Tesla getting lit up at the ring by a sprinter van since it goes into limp mode after 2 minutes.

lol at all the people calling the Model S gay.

The GT500 got drug.

I can mod that GT500. I can feel it, smell it and hear it it's glorious ****ing sound. If I want to, I can put a wicked set of DRs on it and win. If you have to plug your car into a socket, you might be gay. Fossil fuel electric cars for the loss. No offense to you, but that is how I see.

It won't hurt my feelings. Ecars suck, no offense.

I will say from all videos looks like the Gt500's launch control works pretty stoutly

Neat.

That doesn’t make the Tesla gay, it makes you ignorant.

I get a laugh out of that last comment. Are we really at the pinnacle of ice tech? Why are we driving around junk eco boosts then? Where is the big cubic inch twin turbo all wheel drive American made sedans? I see that the GT500 and it’s 700hp is just slightly slower than this golf cart to 1320. How about 1000hp to an all wheel drive then? Easily attainable by a large displacement TT V8. The problem is it’s not available not that it’s impossible or can’t be done. The ICE car manufacturers are too busy feeding us garbage eco junks In the name of saving the environment meanwhile golf carts vehicles have set to kill mode.

I personally think this is all happening on purpose. The short sale on ICE cars and the hey look over here at how bad ass this golf cart with lithium batteries and powered by the grid is. You should buy one because environment. Meanwhile China is very happy to sell its battery lithium from all the strip mines run by slave labor. The real environmental disaster.

I hear ya man. It’s the reality of where we are at though. The OEM’s are not investing heavily into ICE anymore, and the capital floodgates are wide open and flowing into electric and autonomous.

IMO, we’ve reached critical mass when it comes to electric vs. ICE. Depending on your viewpoint, that is either good or bad. Either way, the manufacturers and world gov’t have spoken, and there is no turning back.

E vehicles have been around for 130 years. How is it still the early days?

Even with the completely baseless man made global warming and government subsidies and economic moats they still are not profitable. Tesla who some call a trillion dollar company still lost $600 million last year.

Until e vehicles can last 1k miles on one fill or fill up in 5 min like ice vehicles they will still be second choice for first/work vehicles. My thoughts.

I understand the hate...but, I've driven a Model 3 Dual Motor and it is awesome transportation.

For me e-cars are too focused on removing the interactions that I enjoy from the driving experience.

If they make an e-car for enthusiasts, I'm definitely game to try it.
As far as the ICE sound...just pipe it in...hell, Ford does that already....

false. see ford's BRAND NEW PUSHROD V8.

incorrect, I think you mean stolen taxpayer dollars.

You realize they started developing that engine like 5+ years ago. Since then, Ford has invested heavily in a completely unproven electric truck maker, launching an electric F150 next year, announced the Mach E, etc.

All those other things I mentioned doesn't mean I agree with them. Just simply stating that many world gov't have made the decision to chart a course towards electric, and virtually all the OEM's have clearly stated their intentions to head in that direction as well. They honestly don't really care what the consumer wants.
