Hi,
The prior owner of my car put Corsa Sports on: 2013-2014 Ford Mustang GT500 3.0" Dual Rear Exit Axle-Back Exhaust System with Twin 4.0" Tips (14321) Sport Sound Level

On my 04, I have Borla S-Types and I like the sound. I was thinking of adding them to the Shelby but I'm wondering if the sound is similar. I don't want to waste money swapping exhausts and finding nothing different: Mustang Shelby GT500 2013-2014 Axle-Back Exhaust S-Type part # 11830

I know the S-Types are discontinued for the Shelby but I found a place that still has one in stock.

Is the sound similar to the Cobra? I see that the mufflers are different and the placement is different between the 2 cars so the sound might be different also.

Another question, is the sound of the Corsa sport similar to the Borla Touring versus the S-Types?

Thanks

S-types will be louder than your current Sports, but neither will sound as good as the earlier mid mounted mufflers.
@2011 gtcs is our muffler guru here :)
I have QTP cutouts and stock mufflers.

Thanks @biminiLX
The corsa sports are probably one of the quietest aftermarket axle backs for the 13/14s even with a OFR X pipe they're still quite IMO,
The 13/14 Shelby super snake axle back is basically the Borla S-type axle back with big oval tips. Shelby American still sells them and you can buy them cheaper on Ebay, here is a link to them.
Shelby GT500 Super Snake Borla Exhaust (axle back set) (2013-2014)
If you want louder corsa mufflers go with the xtremes, that's what I currently run.
Corsa 14317-4 11-14 Mustang GT Quad Tip Xtreme Axle Back (Polished)

You'll never get a GT500 to sound like a 03 cobra, trust me I've tried lol. The super snake axle back ARH headers and a OFR X pipe will be similar. Here is one last of my 13 GT500 and my 04 terminator when I had them both

Thank you all so much. I'm going to order the S-Types. I like the Corsas, they are a great quality muffler but I want it just a little bit louder and the S-Types fit the bill for me.

I"ll be putting the Corsas up for sale once I get the S-Types.

Are you going with the super snake axle back? Or the actual quad tips Borla S-type axle back.

Wow, the Corsa Extreme is very loud. It reminds me of the Borla ATAKs I used to have on my Cobra. I ended up trading them to someone for the S-Types.

The best part about the xtremes is they zero drone and sound absolutely amazing at WOT, The Borla ATAKs will drone like no other and the S-types do drone a little as well.

Lethal said they could sell me the Ford for $975 and I have 2 old gift certificates totaling $150 so I could get it for $825 shipped. I think it could be a good deal it's just that I'm wondering what the sound level is. Are these the Touring, S-Types or ATAKs? Does anyone know?

Thanks
I think the FRPP axle is very similar to the S-type mufflers but they're pretty loud. Here is a comparison between the ATAKs and the FRPP axle back. The ATAKs sound like shit IMO and the FRPP sounds good, but they're loud.

Awesome man! Glad to have your business! I personally run the complete FTBR kit on my 03 Cobra and I love it. If you have any questions about installing the kit let me know! I'd be glad to help!

I have a 2014 GT500 that is stock and stock exhaust. I have run Borla Touring, Borla Ford Racing Quad Tips and Borla SS.

The Borla Touring were the tamest. They were similar to the OEM, maybe quieter while cruising. They did have a mild cackle on deceleration and were a little louder than stock when WOT. The mufflers are oval shaped. The tips were meh which was the reason I went with something different.

Next I did the SS. They are 100% not the same as the Borla Touring on the muffler. They are a small round coffee can size that is straight through. They are LOUD and DRONE like a mother. I hated the drone and took them off and went back to the S. The oval tips with SHELBY on them are killer!

I kept looking at the Ford Racing set because I loved the look of the tips. I expected them to sound the same as the Touring because they have an oval muffler but they are very different inside. In looking in the muffler, the Touring is fully perforated on both side of the two outlets. On the FR they are mostly a straight pipe. They idle a little louder and are louder when cruising, but not horrible. WOT is even louder. They are raspy and cackle when decelerating more so than the Touring. The tips are polished inside and outside and I like the Ford Racing stamped on them. I really am happy with this setup.

The Touring is milder than the S. The S may be the same as the FR. I don't have any first-hand knowledge to compare the S and FR.

Here a few pics comparing the Borla Touring to the SS. I don't have any of the FR.

This has probably been asked a million times but are there any stock header, O/R H & FRPP combos on video anywhere?

I haven't seen any yet, but I can tell you the exhaust note doesn't change that much from OFR H-pipe to X-pipe. I've used them both.
