Modified GT500 vs. Factory Demon.

Mod for mod, Demon will be faster every day, all day and especially on Tuesday.
Unless one requires turns.
Factory? Is that why they can send it to the dealer as is?
Bottom line the demon has a drag suspension and the 500 has a track suspension. I take a Viper or 500 all day over a demon!

So, you didn't watch the video?
At a track, side by side, Model S beat the GT500 3 passes in a row.
I’m assuming he’s saying above 100mph it’s not close on track. Which it’s not. Has the S run consistently faster than 10.5/6? If not they are damn close when comparing best 1/4 mile runs.

That is the thing. The S's times are all over the place, with the fastest being 10.5.

However, their battery gets extremely hot after the first 1-2 launches and it will drastically lose power and run slower if hot lapped. Local guy that is a major Model S freak shared this bit of info.

Model S's also trap between 123-125MPH, where as the stock GT500's and Demons are trapping 130+ fairly consistently.

I'd rock a viper for sure, but I have a soft spot for Hellcat Chargers in destroyer gray. Don't care if they are "slow" compared to certain cars. They look aweseome and sound amazing.

Part of the problem with the 07-09 GT500 the extra 100hp was lost on the weight gain. The Terminator was still the better car.

Better at what? Being slower in every metric? Better at having less HP and TQ? Better at having less displacement? Better at breaking IRS junk?

What exactly qualifies the terminator at being a “better” car than any year GT500?

Same jealous trolls on every GT500 thread , none of them have a faster car then the stock GT500. It doesn't get any better when pickup truck / minivan owners talking crap about GT500 , how priceless is that LOL.

I remember if you ran 13's in the 1/4 you were the King Shit! Now we have cars running in the 10's and 9's and people are still not happy. LOL

What a great time to live in when we have these cars running this fast!

I don’t remember the Demons laying down great numbers except the one run Dodge used as their selling point when the Demon first came out. Hell, went to the NMCA/NMRA race last year in Georgia and most Demon and Hellcat owners’ times were laughable at best.

I believe it will take time for somebody to figure out what to do with the transmission management. I guarantee even in drag mode or whatever that it is programmed not to kill itself. A year from now the numbers will be way better on the GT500 and the trolls will need to find something new to bitch about.

The difference is that those demons that were running mid 10’s back then are now running 9s with nothing more than seat time and different tires.
That’s not going to happen with the GT500 having a DCT. I do believe that if it had come with the 10-speed instead, it was capable of running 9s with a drag pack and probably a bit of weight reduction, like the seats. I had both, demon and a 2020 GT500. The GT500 is a very refine and capable car. I just love the uniqueness of the Demon.

So we can say it’s both faster and slower than the 500 and HC. Haha.
I love the Charger in F8 Green. Would love to get a 20 WB for $40k.

Pretty sure it's just a bunch of 9 second(or better) foxbody guys that are excited to gap these cars all summer long.
