Obviously I don’t have the full story, but Ford basically waffled back and forth regarding the future of the GT race program and asked their drivers to hang on, only to pull the plug after most teams and drivers already had their seats filled for the 2020 season. ~ 3-4 of the Ford factory drivers (who are all very good drivers and would have no problem finding a ride under normal circumstances) are without a seat this season because of it.

Sorry for going off topic.

interesting, as mentioned I'd always been under the impression Ford would back the factory team for whatever the minimum required time frame was and that was it

Beautiful car OP, that would definitely be a color combo I'd want

Could this be another sign of ford in huge financial issues?
I remember Ford pulling out of a lot of racing venues, like NHRA which John Force had to leave Ford and went to chevy.
Ford pulled out of a bunch of motorsports programs to campaign the GTLM series in the new Ford GT. And yup, the GT racing program wasn't going to go on forever, it was like the viper program, lasted a few years. Win some championships and then leave. They dont have porsche money.

Made a couple small changes to the car. Added the front wickers, gurney flap, and Signature Wheel Track Series SV503. Gives the car way more presence without the OEM wheel.

Built in a 20x11.5 square and finished in Brushed Titanium. Currently reusing all OEM tires and TPMS. Weight came in at 25/23 lbs with this configuration. About 40 lbs less than the OEM wheels that came off.

cheers!

I’m not much on dark wheels on darker shades of blue, but man that just works on that thing. Looks so much better than factory.

Pick your poison.

Great choice on the wheels. Nice weight savings and they look perfect on your car. Gorgeous GT-500!!
