Hi,
I’m looking for the OE tires, not the wheels, that came on the GT500. The car has the performance and tracks packs and from what I read, it came with Goodyear Eagle F1’s. I’m one of those guys who likes to have the original stuff for my car and the original owner replaced the tires and didn’t save the originals.

I’m in NYC if anyone has a set to sell.

Thanks

Thats going to be a tall order. Are you specifically looking for G2s or G2 with the correct DOT production number? Either way, you may be waiting awhile for a NOS set to pop up.

Maybe try calling some dealers and see if the have a take off set. Some dealers will send stock back to the distributor if the DOT codes get to a certain date after production. Good luck

They suck waste of money if you have the car modded already dont worry about the tires that suck I'm sure no one will care.

The original owner had the dealer swap out the Goodyears for Michelin PSS's back in 2015.

I just wanted to have the correct date coded tires and I know people swap them out and I was hoping to grab a set.

I may have some used ones. Just looking for taking them to shows right? When was your car built?
I wouldn’t recommend for any performance driving.

I'm not sure what shipping would be, but a friend here in CO has two front (P265/40ZR19) tires for sale in the other forum. FWIW, he's a standup seller who's selling the tires only because he switched to 20" wheels.

FWIW, Base, SVTPP, and SVTTP versions of our cars all had the same type and size tires. Wheel style (but not size or specification) varied between Base and SVTPP cars.

That's pretty much it. Just for shows so that I could have a dated set, I wouldn't drive on them. Same as with my Cobra. I have a set in the basement that's dated Nov 2003.

The Shelby's build date was 5/13

Thanks

Thanks. I need to sign up for that forum too

While there are definitely better/stickier tires, the Eagle F1's are not a bad tire by any stretch of the imagination. I've consistently had better 60's with 255/40R19 Eagle F1's compared to my 315/35R20 Pilot Super Sports.

No, they are garbage on the street. On very hot surfaces and when they’re warmed up they kinda hook, but under 60 or if cold /cold road they’re dangerous. R compound or nothing for my cars.

Only time I’ve ever spun out (and a full 360 spin that I by the luck of the gods caught it and pulled off). It was 65f out and sunny too. Crap tires.

(I was cruise controlled at 75 in the middle of south Dekota- just lost traction as I went under an over pass (cold patch of road no sun on it)

I do not know if you found what you were looking for yet, but I just purchased a 2012 GT500 with 1100 miles on it. It has the SVT package. I am replacing the original tires with new ones and if you are interested in my tires, please let me know (315) 247-9168. Eugene

Thanks for the offer but those tires are probably date in 2011. I'm looking for tires dated 2013 since my car is a '14.

just curious on what your planning, are you putting your car total year accurate down to every consumable? That’s a pretty cool project honestly, are you using it for a specific show catagory?

Yeah, I'm just short the air cleaner and the tires. With my Mystichrome, I'm short the battery. I'm not gonna go crazy but I just want to have them just to have them. It would be cool to have the original parts to the cars.

I have the air cleaner, I just have to find it.
I’ll throw it in for free with the tires :)
I have to apologize on the shipping, been a weird 2 weeks with a funeral of a close friend. The guy that set up the shipping account and I will be at the garage tonight.

HPLouis, you still looking for some original tires for 2014 GT500? I have a complete set with 9500 miles on them. Just replaced all four tires and battery.
Front tires are date coded: 39-13 & 39-13
Rear tires are date coded: 35-13 & 19-13
The battery is original. The eye is still a bright green when you look into it showing a full charge. Battery was kept on a battery tender every year through winter months. Still has plenty of cranking power. Replaced just for the fact that it is 6 years old.
Everything is free for the taking. Just pay shipping if needed. I live in Columbus, Ohio. If your in New York, we may not be that far apart and I am willing to drive just to get out of this house. Am retired, so no biggie if I drive and maybe meet halfway some where.
If your not interested then anyone else that is interested is welcome to them.
