How much harder would it be? I plan on buying a high mile navi that runs for the swap so I can use as much from it as possible. Now you being a v6 will complicate things too just an FYI.

Your v6 trans wont work, motor mounts, trans mount and a crossmember for whatever you use, you'll need a PCM from an F150 then have it tuned. With or without PATS. I'm not certain the dash wiring isnt different. Are you 2wd or 4wd? The v6 to v8 has been discussed across several F150 forums. 9 times out of 10 it never gets done. I dont know that I've seen a finished from beginning to end v6-v8 swap. How much harder would it be? I plan on buying a high mile navi that runs for the swap so I can use as much from it as possible.

It is a 2 wheel drive. I have searched through many forums for this as well. Every time it gets asked, it gets talked about, but have yet to see one finished or even talked about that they went through it. Found a thread with a Coyote swap, & he says its easy, but thats as far as it gets. It was a thread too old to revive though. Have yet to see one get done from a v6. Which makes me want to do it even more. If its not possible, I'll move on. But seems like with enough work & a full Navigator to swap parts from, I have a little hope it can be done.Your v6 trans wont work, motor mounts, trans mount and a crossmember for whatever you use, you'll need a PCM from an F150 then have it tuned. Not arguing that in the slightest, but this truck is basically being built off spare parts. It sees 20ish miles a day, and of those 20?17 are highway. Not really worried about deep gears. The 3.73s will be a major improvement. Those will wake it up but I feel like 4.10s should be a minimum with a 4r and the 4v.
4r70w. 4.10s would be ideal, but I'm not worried about it that much honestly.3.73s will be a nice upgrade. What trans are you running?

Yep, 4r100 in navi and most expys. I figured I'd see "more" wheel HP with the 4r70. Eventually when it let's go I'd like to 6r80 swap it. Time will tell though. The difference between 4.10s and 3.73 is negligible, especially if the 4.10s are more expensive. IIRC, Navigators came with a 4R100.
Well, got some sad news. Truck spun a rod bearing on the way home from work last night. Gonna see what I can do to fix it. Guaranteed the engine is coming back out. Checked oil Tuesday and all was fine and dandy. Checking mail and the oil pressure dropped and I noted a knocking sound. Get limped into the driveway and shut it down. Let it sit and find there isn't any oil on the dipstick. No idea where it went wondering if I cracked a ring to be honest. Didnt have any leaks or odd smells in the last 2 days. Just my luck!

Lol, I wish. I picked up a good running donor navigator for it. Chassis has 265k on it, allegedly the engine has 80k, but who knows. Its definitely been out before though. Whole shebang cost me 300 bucks and I drove it home...Ah thats the shits.
Full build and cx turbo time!!!
