Thinking about taking the front brembos off for something that give me a larger choice in front rim ( skinneys)

Whats a set of front brembos worth ? calipers and rotors ?

Not all that much. You can buy brembos new for pretty silly prices. I want to say I have seen them for $200 a caliper, maybe less.
I think I have seen 6 pots for not even much more from the newer cars. Like well under $600.
Id say if you even get close to $500 for the calipers and rotors, feel blessed because that means the buyer did not make any attempt to shop around.

$600 is about what your going to get for 6 piston caliper and rotors. You might be able to get a little more from the right buyer. They just aren't worth much because the S550 Brembos fit perfectly on S197's and are cheap.

Probably not even worth selling. The Strange front kit is only 6-700 or so IIRC

Try to sell local buddy, I do have a shipping account we just started to help sell parts but shipping is the killer on this one, especially the rotors.
The S550s aren’t painted black, and our front kit is a good kit for earlier GT500s.
Honestly the weight difference in 17 and 18” fronts aren’t worth the hassle unless you’re going to get real serious about the track this year. Which I would encourage haha :)
I went with a 14” Wilwood setup.

J, I was thinking the wheel choice for a 17" front is much better than the 18" I'm thinking the wilwood drag front setup is probably the ticket. I talked with a guy that mentioned the strange setup aint great on the street. The plan is to visit the track much more this year :)

Nice to hear on track, me too :)
Unfortunately we’re in a tough spot, with a heavy car and high trap speeds. So we still need a stout front brake. My 6-pot 14” Wilwoods will still accept a 17” front runner and saved about 15# per side, the majority from dumping our 33# boat anchor stock rotors.
Still gotta have you over to the garage soon too.
