Lethal Performance Resonator Delete
- In the past I have always done headers, a cat back, or custom somewhere in between. I see no reason (for me anyway) to change from the factory tubular manifolds to a full length header. I'm in NY and we have emissions testing here as draconian as CA and I also have no desire to play warranty games. I think the mufflers and tailpipes are more than adequate but just as on the GT350 I'm a fan of a bit more base as seen without resonators in place. Not stupid loud exhaust but just a hair more angry. Quiet Mode will still be there if I need or want it. So I ordered Lethal's pipe and look forward to it being shipped.

Just curious.....will your 2020 GT-500 Resonator fit my 2019 GT 5.0 6-speed by chance??o_O

@Tob Are these the jacking points on the 2020?
They are suppose to be designated with a triangle.

Tob, great plan. Watched the Install and before and after Dyno for the Exhaust Resonator Delete on the Palm Beach Dyno GT 500 before their Tune. Anyone offer the Front Mud Flaps yet? Really helped with my '14. Good luck!!

Yes, the Watson produced tubular manifolds are shared with the GT350. But the system deviates from there. Diameter is supposed to be different, no vibratory hardware on the GT500 system, and I believe the mufflers are tuned differently. But would a GT500 system, from end to end, swap onto a GT350? I believe it would.

And to add to my list, today I ordered the CFTP springs (higher rates) and rear bar (larger diameter/thicker wall).

The "MAT- FLOOR" was for the CFTP or R model rear seat delete (they are the same part). I added one to the last two Shelby's I had and procured them through FRPP. No longer available from them but listed as a service item but now with a 100% increase in price. Hence, I'm going to wait and see if FP offers it again.

Thanks for the part # on the roll bar I’ve been looking for that.

Would there be an issue with Mag ride on your base car with cftp springs installed?

Mag ride shocks/struts on a cftp car is tuned differently to work with those cftp springs.

Tony

The Mag ride on my ZTK ZR1 is tuned differently to work with the stiffer ztk leaf springs compared to Mag ride on a base ZR1 with regular leaf springs.

While that makes sense there have plenty that have changed springs/bars on the GT350 without negative side effects. That said, I've been investigating As-Built data differences between CFTP and Base cars, as well as looking into calibration differences in the VDM (Vehicle Dynamics Module) of each.

I don't think bars would affect Mag ride if u took off stock bars for larger/stiffer aftk bars but springs are a different story.

FP has Mag ride specific springs for specific model cars with that suspension as they had warned that regular afkt performance springs for non Mag ride cars shouldn't be used on mag cars.

Now both models of GT500 have Mag ride using specific springs to work with the calibration of their specific respective model. I'm just wondering if there would be any negative effects switching springs but leaving stock Mag calibration intact.

Can the calibration be flashed (basically upload the cftp cal to your base car after your tp springs are installed)?

I'm just surprised that u would already order the springs b4 u fully investigated the VDM cal files to really see if u can switch springs to the other model without any bad side effects.

From what I know about u on the forum, with your attention to detail and being very technically minded, I'm sure you will figure it out and make it work.

These look like what I would call equal length Headers, going way back, lol.
Just showing my age I suppose when I hear the word Manifold I dont think individual tubes.

Just for clarification, those aren't equal length headers. Equal length has nothing to do with the distance to the collector. You can have shorty, mid-length or long tube. Equal length means the length of each tube is equal from the flange to the collector. In that picture, the first and third tube come together so they can't be equal length. Due to space constraints, equal length are usually long tubes. The benefit of equal length tubes and all 4 coming together at the collector is a scavenging effect the gas pulsations have on each other. This benefit is lost when you don't have equals.

Cman, like I said, this has been done to GT350's for years now without reprogramming the VDM. I'm on it either way with the GT500.
