HP limits for 13-14 injectors and BAP

I have a new Whipple 2.9 I purchased during the holiday sales. I have a new set of Ford 52lb injectors I received as a holiday gift and would like to use them if possible. Would these work with a BAP such as the Fuel +? What would the HP limit be for 13-14 injectors and BAP? My horsepower goal is 675ish and the car will only see street duty. I know, ask your tuner and use the search button. I feel a good tuner should be able to tune pretty much any reasonable combo. That's my opinion at least. Also searched and didn't find my answer.

I am sitting in my car getting ready to load my base tune on a 2009 GT500 I just put a Kenne Bell BAP, FoMoCo 52lb/hr injectors and a VMP Gen2R on. I don't know what the HP limit is, but I am fairly certain they will support a 2.9 Whipple pretty well with a BAP. Not sure if they will go to the extreme upper limit of what the Whipple is capable of, but they will grow with you for a while until you need to jump to ID1050's.

That's my thinking as well! I got the 52lbers for free and after spending $2750 for the Whipple funds are tight! I will buy the boost a pump and get a mild tune until I can get ID1050x's around the end of the year and try a lower pulley then. I will rock the stock 3.25 pulley until I upgrade the injectors. I was going to buy a Gen 2r also but missed the sales over the holidays.

Gen2r with 52lbs injectors and BAP here. Don't know the HP yet but street tuned remotely by Lund and it pulls strong as hell to 6500. Lund told me no issues. Looking to dyno it come spring time.
*edit: this is also with a 10% lower and with a 2.6 pulley. Sitting at 20 psi safely.

That's whats up! I know each car is different, but if I don't have to spend $1000+ for injectors for a basic setup then I won't! I think a lot of people buy into the hype and buy parts not needed because slick salesmen convince them to buy parts not needed.

Only way to know is to datalog. I've got a '13 TVS and injectors, BAP, and I'm at 98% on IDC at 6,200 rpm. Every car is different. You have to datalog.

That is true and very good advice! However, I think the 52lbers and boost a pump should be plenty for my initial needs.

What I was saying is that you will have a bigger blower than mine. I am on the edge with a TVS, you will likely be over the edge. Maybe not. But just make sure you datalog as soon as you can.

For what its worth, I ran a TVS with 13-14 injectors and put down 660 on 93 with NO BAP. My tuner did say I was nearly maxing out the injectors at that power level so you should be ok at the 675 range. Believe that setup had me around 17/18 PSI

I have a 13/14 TVS, 2.4 pulley, headers, and 10% IW using the 52# inj and BAP on my 08 tuned by Lidio at Alternative in Mi and put down 730 RWHP .
He said I was near the limit but cautioned me not to go over 6,500 RPM. In occasional spirit I never go over 6,300 RPM.

Agreed.
I have a KB dual comp BAP that Lidio originally installed that was taken off for a full return system.
If you need a BAP, send me a PM.

Very impressive! I'm really curious how far the 52lbers and JMS bap combo could go. However, i'm leaning towards selling the 52lbers and going bigger injector.

With my Whipple 2.9 Gen 2 with 3.00" upper pulley @ 16-17#, stock fuel pumps, and ID1000s, I was around 76% injector duty cycle slightly above 6000 rpm. My new Whipple Gen 4 is legit... in good air with a 3.125" upper pulley and a short WOT pull, I easily saw 19# on my boost gauge below 6000 rpm. I'll be on the dyno for a tune revision in early Spring before I really lay into it. You will eventually want a 1000cc fuel injector.

Good numbers! I’m going with the JMS boost a pump and either FIC 1000s or DW 95s! Thanks for all the real world responses!

Friend of mine did the TVS swap on his '08. 2013-14 injectors, stock 2.3L TVS upper , 10% lower, FRPP 65, headers etc & pulled 650 on a Mustang Dyno....Custom Tune...that's around 700rw on a Dynometer Two years later and still No BAP.
My 2013 has FBO's and pulled 716RW on a Dynonometer thru 410's ...stock injectors ..No BAP. Two years on this set up as well.....Lund Tune.

Here's mine on a Dynometer. I was Lund Tuned at mid 10's - low 11's. I requested their Race tune with the goal of a bit leaner in mid 11's - low 12.
