Any concerns that the heat will do them in? The decals that is!

Shouldn't be an issue. I had a 4th gen fbody with caliper decals and painted calipers. Never had an issue with the decals, the problem was every few years the calipers would turn from red to orsnge.

I can't say on other peoples because I only know what I use but when I do my powder coating the vinyl is good past 200 degrees. No I am not sure what temps that area reaches but I will keep an eye on them. I planned on clear coating them but never did.

Below is the file I used. Just about anyone has a cricut now a days. I recommend using Oracal 651 or 951. Import it into the software. Make sure you delete the grids. Size to your size liking and go! If you want just Brembo then size to your liking or if you want just cobra do the same. If anyone needs them made I can make them. Probably run you like $5.

I am doing this upgrade on my 83 notch that is factory V8, will my power brake booster still work with this upgrade? If not can someone recommend one that will. Some people have said to use the 93 Cobra booster, but everywhere I look it is out of stock.

93 Cobra boosters are becoming unobtainium.

Substitute a 94-95 booster instead. Slight mods need to be done to fit it, but not that much more difficult. Plenty of info out there on the net.

Yes you will need it.

i like the idea of the rear 43mm brake caliper upgrade. hell it would only be about $60 and some paint and they would match my front 14" brembo kit. the only thing that has me worried is all this master cylinder talk.
i run the brembo 4 piston f50 caliper up front and havent noticed any difference in pedal feel or throw. the piston sizes on my calipers are 2 44mm and 2 40mm vs the 03 cobras 2 40mm pistons. thats a pretty big difference. obviously the 5mm step up on the rear caliper would be nice but not if the m/c cant handle it.
so im wondering if its worth the the upgrade or would it actually be a downgrade in performance?

Can we get together a list of wheels that are known to work with the ATS calipers? I have stock 03-34 cobra wheels, but I'm looking to change up my wheels and don't want to purchase something that won't fit. I'm looking at getting some FR500 reps(can't afford CCW or Weld this season). LMR sales tech said he thought their 17x9 FR500s would fit. Anyone who has done the swap feel free to chime in with their set ups.

I'd love to see a list. I tried 17x9 +25 XXR 531s and the barrels rubbed even with the low ranger kit. If the barrel didn't rub, a 3/8" spacer would be required for spoke clearance

Unfortunately I can't answer that. The math says you need a bigger bore MC to compensate, but there just isn't one available for hydroboosted cars.

The 2000R uses 40x40 front and 38mm rear and the same MC as the standard hydroboost Cobras. SO logic would lead you to believe that changing to 42x42 and 43mm rear would require a bigger more MC and more fluid.

What I would imagine you'd find it having a longer pedal stroke, and more sensitivity, which may not be idea.

I don't know what to suggest from here. At this point, I need to pass the torch to someone else to figure out that aspect of things.

I'm still searching for wheels and I'll have an answer about the MC. I may just move my 1" spacers to the front for now to get this thing off jackstands. Finding 17" wheels is difficult. I'd switch but I have a pile of R888 tires. Why do you guys think the rear calipers will require a bigger MC when the front did not require it? Sum of the overall increase or something specific to the rear caliper?

thanks for the reply. i guess worst case is i spend the $60 or so and give it a try. worst that can happen is i dont like it or it doesnt work as well and i pull them and put the stockers back on.

It might be a while before I can report on the rear calipers as I'm waiting on my kit from Lowranger (a few more weeks) so I'll be sure to report here once it's done, but I've got the ATS Calipers as well as the 43mm rears to install. For my swap (from an 04 cobra setup) I'm going with ATS Brembo fronts with Power Stop Street Warrior pads (same pads for rear too), 43mm Caliper rears, MM Braided lines front and rear, and I still need to order new rotors even though mine are good I'll get new ones just to have new with the pads and planning on Power Stop Extreme Performance Drilled and Slotted front and rear. I was also considering the Raybestos 66844PER (wave slotted) rotors... any thoughts on them?

I can't speak to the wheels as I've got an IRS on my fox which makes my wheel selection really tough and no one here would be using what I am... and I've already got a 1" spacer on the front to make it work anyway. For reference my wheels are 18x8 front and 18x9 rear, and I think +45 on both.
