I would like to offer my personal experience here. I use Chrome plus an ad blocker and I have never had these issues that OP is talking about.
I'm surprised you can do anything on here with ad blocker on, I don't have these issues with any other site because I can use ad blocker on them
If you run an ad blocker please consider becoming a Premium Member. It helps keep the lights on.
I run just chrome and have no issues.

After getting 2 malware viruses on this site, I too went to ad blocker. Haven't had an issue since.

About 4 years ago IIRC.
We don't use any of those ad networks anymore.

I do, Sid. All the time. I disabled my ad-blocker/anti-tracker but I'm still being knocked off-line with a message to become a Premium Member to not see ads. But, I AM a Premium Member and see ads down the right side of my page and within some posts.
