At its face, I buy it. Just bad circumstances.

That said, if a trove of evidence presents itself otherwise, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Today was Trump’s legal teams big roll out of Biden’s corruption. Media isn’t going to cover that, it’s convenient a major loved celebrity dies from a helicopter malfunction on a very new helicopter the day before huge corruption testimony.

How many times today did the media cut away from the hearings to cover news on this horrible event?

At this time, that’s the only coincidence though. It’s not a small one, but it can easily just be a coincidence. @jeffh81 this one is cut and dry, either just coincidence, or pro hit.

What do you think? My mind is 95/5 coincidence. That 5 wouldn’t surprise me in the least though, in the hearings today they explained how Biden Jr. made over $4m from burisma board, and dropped 3 other names to draw attention to.

Regardless what conspired, fate or evil, for that helicopter to crash, rest in peace to the lost, their families and friends and fans.

Terrible way to die, I imagine Bryant was cradling his daughter right until impact... god rest their souls.

I would argue 8-10 people don’t give a shit about the hearings man.

Here's a tribute Jimmy Kimmel did on Kobe. Had some very nice things to say about him. Kind of a testimony of the kind of man, father and person Kobe was.

Here is a recreation of the flight using KML files.

Here is an explanation of what probably happened. The term they are using for this accident is CFIT or Controlled Flight Into Terrain. So far it looks like pilot error compounded by in climate weather.

This is all speculation until the official NTSB report is published.

When such a world wide super star athlete or celebrity dies so soon in such a way, especially someone who’s career was always in the spot light people use that death and reflect on their own lives and people close to them and the fragility of life.

You are spot on. The type of person he was means nothing. Character is irrelevant. His playing of a sport is all that mattered. A few have mentioned it but apparently there were only two people on the aircraft or so it seems. What about the others? Have we regressed as a society or is it all a ruse?

Jeez, that recreation is speculation but that drop at the end gave me chills.

Lots of people looking for answers but IMO, this was pilot error due to the weather. They never should have taken off.

This is what it seems like. A friend who is a pilot was texting me about it this morning. The weather is usually so good there the guy had basically never had to fly instruments only and wasn't confident in it. He had plenty of time to request instrument clearance while holding for other instrument traffic. He tried to turn back not realizing the rate of decent or what was around him and here we are.

not at my post...
Guessing elevation disoriented due to low cloud cover and didn’t pull collective while making the left turn

Looking like that, rapidly descending left turn...You'd think that collective would have been in his armpit under those conditions, knowing the hazardous terrain and low to no visibility....

I know they said the guy was experienced but his choices almost seemed counterintuitive considering the weather and terrain.

Like a lot of accidents, I bet he had made that trip many times and was caught off guard with the weather. Exposed his inexperience possibly.

“This sounds crazy, but Kobe spoke this, he spoke this,” the 40-year-old shooting guard told host Rachel Nichols, who seemed taken aback.

“He used to say all the time, ‘I want to die young,’ ” he added, while wiping a tear from his face.

Bryant, according to McGrady, would also say, ” ‘I want to be immortalized and, you know, have my career be better than Michael Jordan and I want to die young.’ ”

Thats gotta be before he had kids. McGrady was clearly torn up and the context was lost.
I'm also guessing, considering his post NBA success and physical health, I doubt he felt 40 was old.

Also, I suspect what he was really saying is he didn't want to live to see himself become a joke, like Elvis, Madonna, Ali, Tyson, and Cher.

I remember that, he had some side piece, he PIITB, she didn’t want to, cried rape, he gave her a settlement, wife filed for divorce, he got her a diamond ring the size of my big toe, she drops divorce.
Don't forget about her blood on his shirt and the fact she was about to testify and all the sudden she was changing her mind because he paid her off. He was a hell of a ball player but he did that shit.

RIP to everyone on that bird and condolences to their families. Very sad story. They never should have been in the air that day. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the families go for a money grab civil suit. Not that it should be warranted but that's the world today.
