Not professional research analysts. Some decent ideas and a lot of garbage.

I'm a pro and get research from Goldman, Credit Suisse, BofAML, Bernstein, Zach's, Argus, Ford, Morningstar, CFRA, Thomson. Some of those are available to non-pro subscribers and I'd take any of them over Seeking Alpha.

Even subscribing to something like gurufocus is probably money better spent.

It's awesome for up to the min or breaking stock alerts. I use it as my go to for Earnings announcements and such. You can get all the conference call transcripts and any company announcements.

Try it out for sure and see if you like it.

You can get all that information for free on the investor relations pages for each company.

If you are looking at a lot of firms and ETF's, not so great.

I did join and it looks like how they concentrate the articles on tickers of interest may be worth the annual subscription. I will use over the next free 2 weeks and decide when they send the billing email.

Yes true. Seeking alpha has a free version also and will alert you right away when it's available (via push notifications). Plus some investor conference calls on investor relations you have to listen to and they are not in transcript form.

Just a follow up, extremely satisfied with Seeking Alpha. Have gotten tons of ideas and greatly enjoy reading all investment advice. The comments following the articles can get hilarious. Pretty funny watching the "shorties" and those long duke it out.

The peer tab for comparing like companies is worth its weight in gold. The peers tab on my Ameritrade account doesn't even work, LOL, so I usually have both open at the same time and flip back and forth when looking at a particular ticker. Very interesting to compare what the analysts on Seeking Alpha say versus what the rating agencies say on Ameritrade. I think you get a better feel for any particular ticker you are looking at.
