I've been reading tire threads for 2 hours this morning and as the long title says I'm looking to throw on a pair of AM rep 10.5" DD wheels on the back with Nitto 315/35/17 tires. From what I've read I should get the low profile IRS bolts(even being that nitto's run on the narrow side) and it seems a lot of people are running 3/8" spacers. I really would prefer NOT to roll my fenders. Looking to pickup a set of coupe springs and cut them to lower my vert so would have a modest drop.

Thoughts or problems with what I'm thinking? I've also read some people saying if you run DD wheels on the back you MUST MUST have DD on the front as well but I've seen some pics of just rear DD's and I don't see what is problem is? There are a tons of guys running rear only DD FR500's, is that more acceptable because of the style of the wheel?

Really can't add to what you've already read. I think you have the jist of what's needed. Mount the rims and ties you like and make adjustments as needed.

There's no need to run deep dish rims front and rear. They do it because of the look. I like the look myself. But I have normal FR500's up front.

You should be able to get away with just the low profile IRS bolts but have the spacers on hand " just in case" if this is your daily driver. Also, I haven't seen to many owners who have been happy with NT05's on high HP Cobras. Should be fine for under 500whp though.

I was thinking these but did consider the r888r...I thought for my power level these would work and last much longer and handle a little better if I get caught in the rain? It’s my DD during warmer months putting about 50 miles on a day.

A previous Terminator that I purchased came with 10.5" DD FR500's on the rear with 315/35/17 NT05R's. No spacer, with stock IRS bolts........very little clearance between the tire and the bolt. It can be done, but it was a too close for my liking.

Not a big fan of the NT05R's either. My car was 600whp and it would spin them with ease in 1st, 2nd, and even sometimes 3rd gear. A few friends run the 888R's and they seem to have much better results with the Toyo's.

I think each car sits different

10.5 wheel with 315

No spacers or bolt

I noticed drivers side has rubbed fender and I’m stock up high

But to me 315 still to thin

I have AFS reps but run a 315/35/R17 Nitto NT05 in the back. Did not roll fenders, had machine shop shave half the irs bolt head off. Added 1/8” spacers and clear at full lift by about 1/8”. Note one side is closer than the other.
From everything I read every car irs varies a little and what I saw was pretty common. I want R888 but think it will be rubbing as they are at least a 1/4” wider than the nitto’s.

What power level are you at, happy with the NT05? I'm not opposed to going with the R88R but from my understanding I should only expect 5k, maybe 10k miles out of them?

I am just bolt on parts putting down 453hp/456tq. These tires wear good. I only have 6,000 miles on them over 3 MN seasons. They will spin in 1st, 2nd can be hit or miss pending the temp and if the tires are warmed up. Corning is pretty solid. My car is running h&r sport springs so it sits pretty low. I would say anything over 500hp these tires might disappoint.

Be careful running spacers without extended studs. I’ve seen tires come flying off because of not enough thread engagement on stock studs.

I here ya on the spacers. Did my homework on that. Verified correct thread contact. I believe anything thicker than 1/8" would require extended studs or at least recommended.
