Does the factory 5.2(g3) come with a finished, deck, bore hone and crank hone adequate to assemble from the factory or did you have these squared and checked? if good to-go saves a ton of $ at the machine shop and time.

It's supposed to be torque plate honed from Ford. We'll check that with a diamond hone though. The liner can take up to. 0015. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

Some parts have arrived.

The Gen 3, 5.2 block for starters.

Lash adjusters from a GT350 test engine that never ran with them.

New Ford 11'-14' oil pump

TSS oil pump gears and crank gear

ATI balancer (finally getting away from the stocker)

VMP Performance 5% overdrive ring (scratch-n-dent)

I just upgraded the headers. From BBK 1-3/4" long tubes to LTH 1-7/8" long tubes.

The last photo is the entire new exhaust for the moment. I'll have to find a way to quiet it down again, but somehow easy to swap over for track use. My normal exhaust includes four resonators and a Kooks axle back. So I have my work cut out for me.

Final pieces of the puzzle arrived today. Thanks to Will Rollins (RPG Race Engines) and Devin Hyde (Lexington Park Ford and Go Hyde Racing) for being two of the best automotive vendors I've ever worked with. They both went out their way/above and beyond with Customer service.

These two are class individuals. Thank you, guys.

I'll be headed up to drop everything off with the engine builder on Sunday. Really looking forward to this.

Thanks for reading...

I've heard good things about RPG Race Engines, but the only information I can find online is that they're based in Clovis, CA. @11Sec_Lx, is there a phone number or email to inquire about mods?

My Aluminator has been rock solid and built well. Fonzie Novelo happens to be the guy who built it and he also happens to be a guy who builds these engines daily. He will be assembling my new engine.

Cool, that's who built my Aluminator.

I've thought about what I'll do if I want to add more power and figured I'd just sleeve the block. Good to know about the 5.2L.

Build threads are the best. Looking forward to watching the progress.

That's cool! He built my Aluminator too. It was a beast. Five years of reliable service before I sold it.

Here it is, ready to be brought home.

Looks good.. I’m running the same rods. They’re a little heavy.

Did the crank need a lot of Mallory?
