You're cryborg or sighborg. Fitting name for a guy that spends all day on forums trolling. Do you bounce back between here and hellcat forums and troll both sites? I dont know bernie politics or care to know about them, I just know you drive a tacoma and post about cars you wish you had. lol

The trans tuning is going to make or break the GT500 for the strip. I’m hoping it gets sorted and we start seeing so solid advancement from it.
Exactly, the factory trans calibration cannot cope with 900whp. They are going to have to get into the trans tuning and see what it can do. To really get the car to run the number they are going to have to increase the launch rpm and reduce clutch slip. Whether the trans can do that is the question and even if it can I suspect it wont for very long without at least a clutch upgrade.

Hopefully Tremec/Ford took a page out of Porsches book with the PDK. They have to assume the enthusiasts will be adding a lot of power to these cars. You'd hope they are over built a bit but I guess we will find out.

Who is white knighting for a car?

And shouldn’t you be working to give extra money so your PM can pay Iran for the two missiles it used to shoot down the plane your people were on?

I just find it funny certain people are so up in arms over the performance of a vehicle that has been out a week or two against modified vehicles that have been out for years.

I highly doubt anyone tuning the GT500 has a handle on it yet.

On a lighter note, the new C8s look good until you get to the Camaro taillights.

That’s a helluva comeback... lol

Are people making more power on just a tune and pulley change now versus a week or two after the Hellcat was out?

How much more power are the new C8s making with a tune?

The only improvements future tuning will make are in regards to the TCM. This is not a new engine design or platform. It’s a Coyote based engine with a PD blower. They have thousands of base files to start with I’m assuming.

We already know what a 2650 blower makes. The biggest restriction will be the blower opening and TB. GM cars can use up to a 103mm TB and 5” intake. Hellcats can use up to a 105mm TB. PD blowers are very dependent on inlet/TB size. The 500 uses a 92mm TB. American Muscle already stated that along with the smaller blower inlet size would be the biggest restriction months ago.

Base files are just that, I think it will take a bit to work with the engine and transmission tuning as a whole. Which is kinda my point.

They aren't?

No C8s on the street and no tuning for them yet...lets stick to ragging on cars that exist LOL!

I was using sarcasm. I expect tuners to make more power after they have had multiple cars and months to work through things.

And are we certain they are not out? I swear the C8 I saw on 65 Last Thursday had regular KY plates.

If/when tuning becomes available for the C8, it won't likely take more than a couple hours on the dyno to really find what they want.
Its an evolution of the LT1 that many are already familiar with.

I agree with others that this is not a 'give them more time to figure it out' issue, its a 'wait till they get TCM support' issue....
