Could I use this in place of a wax? Or would be a durable wax be better in your opinion? Would be for my daily driver truck.

One thing I have not found yet is a spray on, wipe off product that can stand up to sky roach type bird bombs or fat bloody bug strikes if I dont get to them immediately. Ive never had that issue with Collonite and can always afford a few days before cleaning if I dont spot them immediately.

That WAS my only reason for trying new stuff all the time but now Im watching road salt and winter grime resistance as well. The salt and grime is why I finally dropped Optiseal as my go to for wash maintenance, it just could not hang at all.

So far the TW Hybrid Ceramic spray seems to have made salt and grime easier to clean but its been real mild this winter so not enough data to really judge it just yet.

I just used, for the first time, the turtle wax ceramic wet wax (yellow label), per review of a few detailers on youtube. I use mckees 37 ceramic paint coat and i am now going to use the wet wax as the "sacrificial" layer to try to extend the mckees longer. I was always told do not put anything on top of ceramic coat because it can mess with it and make it work less, but a few well regarded detailers say this wet wax is fine.

I did a waterless was with Wolfgang SIO2 waterless wash, sprayed distilled water on panels after and then used the turtle wax on water and wiped down.

Yea Im probably going to try the wet wax on my Cobra's ceramic in the spring. Just got done rinseless washing and coating my Raptor with the TW Hybrid Ceramic, had to do one half at a time since its snowing and I cant fit all the way in my garage. Sad she has to live outside. Next wash will be a coat of Collonite 845, I love how my wifes car has been holding up so far.

Its been doing awesome and Im totally sold on a 845/Hybrid Ceramic combo. Hosed the wifes car off this weekend after a few weeks of major salting and everything but the area directly behind the tires beaded up and rolled away clean looking. Will post up pics tomorrow.

Same was true for the Raptor but the wifes Legacy was noticeably cleaner after a hose down. Both were literally painted white with salt but the wifes Legacy was significantly easier to clean with just a hose. Both still needed a rinseless wash for me to consider them clean but the Legacy was effortless to wash while I had to hunt for spots that needed a second pass on the Raptor.

I havent had a chance to put a coat of 845 on the Raptor yet but its been holding up great against the road spray with just the TW applications. I will say that I confirmed the need for an 845 basecoat. Actually had a bug strike on the mirror cap that didnt want to wipe off. It was one freakin mosquito and I had to forcefully scrub it off with the MF wash sponge after the third pass in 10 minutes didnt lift it. This wasnt the splat left behind but the actual bug that stayed plastered on.

Gonna clay towel and apply a good coat of 845 come spring and then top with TW Hybrid Ceramic.

I put a coat on the car we take to the track sometimes. Always use painters tape on the back to protect against tire splatter. The first time out since using this product the tape wouldn't stick so I didn't use it, fully expecting clean up to be a nightmare. I put tape on the rubber that was on the car and pulled the rubber off the paint without even washing it. Great product so far!

I had the same thing happen with my Cobra after I had it corrected and ceramic coated, couldnt get painters tape to stick at all. Not sure if 845 does that but I suppose this means the TW stuff works well at keeping grime from sticking.

Finally had a chance to put a coat of Collonite 845 on the truck, didnt do a clay towel first but Ive had barely any time to spare lately. All in all the TW Hybrid Solutions did what it was supposed to and survived the winter road spray, granted it is a new truck and all but the beading survived whatever crap they spray all over the place up here.

it is a very good product. I use it on many cars. However, recently I used mothers CMX, and i think it is slightly better as far as application.

How is the application supposed to go for the CMX??? I gave the Megs hybrid ceramic a shot and never got around to the CMX before I started with the TW stuff.

Did a waterless wash and wax a few weeks back on a hot truck in full sun and tested application of the Hybrid Ceramic wax. Going panel by panel wash, dry, wax, buff and it was not good. They say you can apply in sun no problems but I will disagree. It streaked like crazy, didnt like spreading and was much harder to buff out. On cool surfaces in partial sun was no issue so back to early morning summer washes.

I use the TW wile the paint is wet, kind of like a drying aid. Supper easy to use that way. It went on the boat for the first time so time will tell in that environment. I always wipe it down when it comes out of the water and the TW made that really easy to do at least the first time.

So you apply the Hybrid Ceramic wax while wet as a drying aide??? Have not done that yet but thats what their Wet Wax is intended for and it works great.

Thought I'd share my results of using the TW Ceramic Spray. The 500 was just a wash and single application.

The side by side with my 150 was claybar and ceramic spray. I should have clayed the 500 too. I'll try to get outside photos side by side later.

The spray is soooo easy to apply and buff out.
I may have found a keeper that requires relatively little effort and cost compared to other products. As far as I'm concerned, I'm probably dome using the Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wet spray.

Only test left for me is to use the Wet Wax on my ceramic coated Cobra, havent touched it since returning from storage though. Otherwise I am still impressed everytime I use it, awesome stuff and cheap.

I would never believe a product claim that says you can use it in full sun. Heck, I won't even wash my G-70 in the full sun. Has to be very early morning (7:30-8:00) in the early morning shade or partial sun. The key is keeping the surface cool when washing or when applying a wax product, which is so hard to do in full sun.
