I can assure you that you are wrong. 10A available as of 2019. I specced one out before deciding to get a HC instead. Go to GM blue page before you run your mouth.

you must be hungry. Run and tell your BF to fix you another ****-meat sandwich.

How does this detract? You can still get the manual if you are in the market for this car.
I’m assuming this was Fords initial plan too. Release the car with a DCT, first to segment with a DCT, show the best possible performance and then offer a manual in the second year for the purists.
I’d still think that’s a good plan, but who knows with Ford and their current status.

Wut? I thought you were part of the party calling me crazy for thinking Ford would do that if enough people bitched??

Looking back I think I was wrong anyway as Ford clearly is no longer interested in making purists happy.

Well, I wouldn’t personally buy a manual GT500, as I think I’ve built my personal best manual trans snake available (2014) and I’m ready to embrace the better new tech in the DCT.
That was my point all along, the goal of the GT500 should be the best PERFORMANCE Mustang you can buy.
If you don’t like it, build your own or buy another option.
I was just trying to get those close minded fans to stop complaining and realize we need to support the 500.
Sure, the pipedream of the manual trans may have satisfied a small percentage, but the DCT is the right choice for the car.
Have you seen one negative review of the DCT other than the knob comments?

I was in that "no-manual, no purchase" camp myself, but I've come to the point that I would take the DCT. I won't be a hold out for a manual.

My issues are what they are (I won't berate you guys again with them) but, I'll wait until the last "version" of the car before I buy this time. I burned quite a bit of money getting a new GT500 on every "version" change last time.

I havent seen anyone upset with it yet but no kidding... who would be upset after driving a 760hp mustang with any tranny? Time will tell. Im not bashing the DCT, I just think it may have been wise to offer options for the long haul. But Fords idea of options going forward are Mach-E like stuff. Lol

It'd be crazy if Ford did offer this car in a manual. I wonder how much lighter the manual version would be? From what I remember the 7-speed DCT is 230lbs.
If Ford puts a 7 speed like the one in the ZR1, this car would come in around the weight of the trinity GT500. That would be nuts. Imagine also adding lighter two piece rotors....

I would definitely want it. You could get it to 3750lbs with some tweaks. The dct really improves performance for the track, but a well driven manual is always going to be more fun on the street
