I am looking at possibly trading my 2014 GT500 on a 2017 1018 or 2019 supersnake.
I am not sure if this is a good move, but I really want a manual and this is the only way to go.
No the GT350 is not an option.
My 2014 has 16,000 miles and black with red stripes.
What do you guys think of the 2017 Supersnake compared to the 2014 GT500.

No thanks lol, the 15 to current super snakes are just mustang GTs with badges and a whipple, plus the MT82 6 speed is a joke compared to our TR6060 and you won't have the TQ of the 5.8

If you really want a super snake why not just send your GT500 to Shelby American and have the super snake package done, at least that's my opinion

I would stick with the 14. Those SS kinda feel like it is just a kit thrown on a GT, which it is.

+1 to all of this! Trading your '14 GT500 on a a 2017 1018 or 2019 "supersnake" is a step BACKWARDS!

Haven't really been a fan of Super Snakes since the '07-'09 models.

They're too overdone... too many tack ons and such.

I'd keep your '14 and smile every time you look at it :)

Thank you for all the replies. That is the way I was feeling but I wanted to find out if I was the only one that felt that way about the 2015 thru 2019 super snakes.
I also just read a Road & Track test of a 2015 SS and it wasn't good. going to keep my 2014. thanks for all the input.

You made the wise choice, me, being a Super Snake owner have watched the GT500 Super Snake resale prices for years.........the "Shelby installed" perf. parts to make the package seem to be holding their price overall if you take the actual selling price and subtract the cost/value of the GT500 itself, for any given year, miles and condition in comparison to the value of "owner installed mods", HOWEVER, that being said, as mentioned above, the 2015-2019 Super Snakes are based on a Mustang GT and that is a different deal for sure. I have always questioned......."How can it be a "SUPER SNAKE" if it was never a "Snake" (Shelby GT500) to start with, to become SUPER????"

I don't blame SAI for marketing the 15 - 19 S/S's, they have people on the payroll & have to provide work.
I always got a kick out of the fact that the base S/S conversion for the 2015 MY cost as much as the car..( $ 49,995.00 )

Phew....thank God that the intervention being planned for OP will no longer be needed. Excellent and very popular choice, it would seem. Job well done!

^^^Yes to that, at the time it hurt, but now I am happy that my 725 optioned Super Snake was only $32K (not that $32K is chump change), but at least the S197 factory Ford GT500 performance level never got to 700+, so if a person wants a "production" S197 GT500 that was built by either Ford or Shelby, the Super Snake is the only ticket for that, and it has to be the optional HP level, not the entry 6XX level, they were passed by the production 2013/14.
