They just release the Plug n Play version back in October. Before that you are correct. It had to piggy back to maintain the cluster!
snapped my cable turning into my neighborhood and coasted into my driveway in 2nd.
You lucked out, that stranded me once at a dog park. Some years later I heard/felt it start to let go as I pulled out of my garage and went right back in to check. One of the braids let go with a twang and a change in engagement height.
Both times in the same spot yours did, threw another shim in and Ive been good since.

Finally got my new-to-me shop mostly organized so started top end disassembly on the cobra. Going to retorque the head studs, completely redo the vacuum system, and fix the leak at the water pump bypass.
Had my valve covers powder coated to match my Whipple.
That matches really well what did you use?

I used a local shop, it’s wrinkle black, just a little smoother.
Changed out my metco super aux pulley to Whipple adjustable. Got the tension set perfect now.
Polished the arp studs and got rid of that aweful gold color.

Did you have to remove anything to get the Whipple tensioner installed?
What length and gauge do you have for the wire upgrade. Specifically the grounds? Are you using the stock engine to body location or the one that isn’t blocked by the oil cooler? Thx.
I'd measure for you, but everything is mounted. I picked up the upgrade kit from J2 Fab.
I have the main ground running from the alternator bracket to the ground at the core support.
No it was the easiest mod I have done on the car. Took belt off at supercharger pulley, Unbolt two bolts place it on with the spacers. Tighten it up and set the tension

Got my new Vibrant block in today so tomorrow I will be redoing the vacuum system. Right now it's a next of lines, adapters, t-fittings, etc.
Picked up a few anchor room mods, Battery cover and a shorty antenna.
If we could get some decent weather I'd get my tune completely dialed it. It is a monster with the new heads and cams degreed.
