Got 2 inches of rain down here. Suppose to snow tomorrow. Sold the Mountain Cat last year, may be out of the sport altogether.

I saw that one. I was hoping to not have to pay $70 for a $12 part.

Pull start that shit. But I get it. I'm about 300 deep so far without the thing leaving my garage or breaking. Had to a get a new visor (170 for a heated one for a BV2S!) since mine developed a crack somehow, new skags, registration and other BS. No expensive parts but it adds up.

The Polaris is my back-up sled or I'll let one of my buddies use it if theirs breaks.

I rode it a couple of times last year and had to pull start it. I'm gettin' too old for that shit!

My family took a trip to Winter Park last year during February. Our first time in the Rockies for a winter vacation. During that time we did two snowmobile trips, the best along the Continental Divide. We loved it!

To all the pros, where is a good place other than CO to travel for great snowmobile trips?

The U.P. and Northern Wisconsin are both a blast. Different types of riding. Wisconsin is tighter trails, but theres tons of smaller loops you can do and a million places to stop. The U.P. is more wide open with longer loops and longer stretches between stops plus lots of off trail opportunities.

Awesome, any recommendations on guide services? Obviously I don’t own a machine. When you say off trail opportunities, what do you mean? Are these like long trips where you stay in cabins between rides? Or do you just choose between shorter day type rides? Sorry for the 21 questions, just wanna spend money right.

I'm not aware of guided services in either area (not that there arent any, I've just never heard of em). Plenty of places to rent sleds.....grab a map and go.

By off trail I mean deeper powder riding off the marked trails. Not a whole lot of that in Wisconsin, but there's all kinds of public areas in the U.P. you can do that if that's your thing. I'm a trail rider, so that's not my bag. Guy work with has a place he rents up that way in the winter....basically his crew only uses the trail system to get to the areas they play/explore in

Ahh gotcha! I can see where both would have their perks. Similar to when I ride ATVs down here in the south. Riding the trails is a blast, but sometimes finding a strip mine off the trail is loads of fun. Thanks for the input!

Finally heading out for our first trip Thursday after work.....so of course I've waited until this week to touch my trailer and sleds. Wondering if some year I'm not gonna pull this wait until the last minute shit...

Probably not lol

That looks like a lot of fun. That's one thing I've never experienced. My son-in-law used to go to upstate New York and Canada with a couple of his friends for weekends of trail riding. He loved it.
