Been checking this site for a while, very cool place. Looking at getting a Gen 1 or 2 Lightning soon and wanted to learn what I can from the experienced folks.

I had a 2004 Lightning, if you couldn't tell by my name lol.

Stout trucks. Earlier years had the 4 thread heads which lead to some spark plug issues. 99-00 had less power than the 01+, but nothing a simple pulley and tune couldn't fix.

The lightning sub-forum slowed down over the years but you can find a lot of good info by searching.

Retirement is great, semi-retired, I have a teenager so I am still working...imagine that...teenagers are expensive. Now I am working for Social Security...

Well my impatience got the best of me and instead of getting that 95' White Lightning I was planning...I ended up getting a 2012 White Ford F-150 Harley Davidson. It was something I just couldn't pass up...will post pics when it's ready. Cheers Charlie
