Heard good things about books and games.

Excited to start the series as soon as I watch 2 more episodes of another series.

(I can’t stand starting or stopping shows mid-season)

Geralt explains the "Law of Surprise" in episode 6. I believe he took the Law because he believed he would never be needed in that sense, he certainly was never gonna come claim it himself. I don't think he expected Ciri to lose both parents and the city to fall a little over a decade later. At least that is how I see it. The show moves a lot of info really fast. I've planned to watch the series again. lol

I just watched that episode last night and caught that part. There is definitely some difficulty in understanding the storyline or timeline with this series so you have to stop and think about what they just said or rewind it to hear it. The show is great but I cant help but think how it would be with a better director maybe.

The story telling is very nonlinear, it’s clear they are going back and forth in timelines and that’s a bit jarring. That aside I have really enjoyed it and watched 5 episodes so far. Cavill got pretty ****ing jacked, dudes put on 15-20Lbs for this role.

Thank you for this post. I read this before starting to watch and made it a lot easier to watch realizing the time lines are off. I am now on 5th episode and I really like it.

Its a fantastic show. I bought the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt on Steam a year ago, never got to it. Well, the show inspired me to download the Witcher 1 and 2 and get to 3. The graphics are super dated on 1, but 2 is proving to be fairly fun.

Henry Cavil is a hell of an actor... and even as a hunchback Yennefer was kinda hot...:D :D :D Would smash.

After playing the game and then hearing that there was a show coming I was fully anticipating for Jennifer Connelly to be cast as Yennefer and was disappointed when she wasn't. She is super sexy when she is all done up, and she would have done the nude scenes too. Not sure who would have played a good Triss but the actress who plays her in the show is not bad to look at either, just expected someone who looks closer to the character in the game except it is based off the books first and foremost however.

Finished episode 5 last night. New to the series so there's quite a bit of info thrown at full speed at times during the episodes.

Enjoying it so far, even with some questions here and there

i enjoyed it but damn, it took all that time for everything to develop.

Now we have to wait how many years for another season. Bull shit man...

Thrones and Witcher are 2 different styles of storytelling. Similar, but overall I think The Witcher will prove to be better as the story follows an established character that tends to be the same even moving through different parts of the time jumping. There is plenty of source material to work from and I think having 2 main leads along with Ciri is vastly easier to manage great story telling than the nearly 10 "main" leads in Thrones.

Thrones was great right up until the show-runners ran out of published source material from George Martin. Once they had loose plot points from Martin for the end of the thrones books, the Thrones show runners essentially tried to hastily wrap everything up quickly. It was entirely obvious that it was rushed as the story telling became very tropey and not at all near the same quality level of story and plot.

Made it through the first two episodes. It's pretty good! Henry Cavill is a great actor and brings a lot of class to the part.

Fall 2020 I think. They had already planned season 2 before 1 even aired.

Really good show but you have to stick with it. Reminds me of Into the Badlands if you ever watched that show.

Maybe the success of the show will prompt CD Projekt Red to develop a fourth game which would be on the next gen consoles!

I'm enjoying it. Could have been a couple better casting choices, but otherwise it's been entertaining with a decent story. I've never played the games or read the books.

Enjoying it, hated the video game. I remember it coming across my FB feed and I said you guys ride around on your horsey collecting flowers and I'm gonna go kill some shit on Destiny. The fanboys were not thrilled and replied upset...haha.
