good afternoon. I am getting all my parts ready for a KB 2.6 swap. fuel system is dual DW340lph pumps with modified FPDM and power wire upgrade.

I am thinking of upgrading the fuel line from firewall to fuel line and eliminating fuel damper. is this recommended? Will this help lower FPDC? Thanks!

Probably not enough to be worth working in that area. Just run a -8 from the hat to the rails. I did that with my 01 and FPDC dropped about 10% IIRC.

You are wasting your time replacing that little piece. Those 340 pumps are going to be your limitation.

Thanks Soap. you think the dual 340lph won't be sufficient fuel for 2.6KB at 18PSI? 91 octane + Torco. My current fuel pumps tapped out at 504rwhp with no BAP.

For a few years I ran -8 an line from the stock hat to rails. Then when I decided to go return style, that line became the return and I added a -10 feed. It can be done pretty cheap and gives you more head room with the fuel system before expensive upgrades need to happen. I ran 2 GT pumps in a stock hat with a plug and play dual FPDM setup. Made over 600 hp on pumps alone.

Spend the little bit extra and go PTFE lined hose. The AN fitting that connects to the stock hat and rail is like $20 each from Summit. Get an AN fuel filter (will need reducers here) and then 18' of line.
