You would think so but whipple refered me to emailing technical support any time i contacted someone. As far as datalog you just need the key on engine off. Checking for tps and tps2 its at the bottom of the list. Hold throttle fully closed while reading tps2

But at least now you are narrowing it down to the final issues, hope you dont get the chirp too. What I would like to find is a different instake tube like the one for the S550s

Yeah that one would suck lol. Belt chirp from slight blower misalignment. I had to chase mine down for days driving me nuts every time Id start the car.

Well after a long day of waiting and having to drive 40 mins to pick it up from fedex, because whipple put a sig required that I wasnt aware of, I installed the throttle body and the car runs good other than a few dips in rpms when coming to a stop. I will see about getting some clips of it running after work.

Thank you to everyone for the help with the install. I greatly appreciate the info and pics.

Well I got my roush vent pod and boost installed. I'm making around 9# of boost. I'm hoping that when I re-datalog Alex will see some improvements now that I have the correct tb on.

No, with the 3.75 pulley. It was advertised at 10-11#s but I guess the full exhaust dropped the boost. Need to log to see if the wrong tb was the reason he said it was showing excessive load.

Well just giving a 3 month update since the install. No numbers yet but plan to hit the dyno hopefully in January. Car is running great at 9#s with the 3.75 pulley. The best part is a 2nd gear 40 roll tire shred . Stock clutch and driveshaft have been holding great. Will be getting the 1 piece, spec flywheel and clutch installed in the nearish future.

Well finally dyno'd the car and it put down 678whp and 542wtq on 9#s of boost revving to around 6800. Tq seems like it should be higher but maybe not. Really enjoying the kit and how its somewhat of a sleeper kit. Next up is either a gen 2 or built shortblock, opgs, and fuel system. I also want to be able to rev it higher since it was still making power. Hoping to get a drag pack and hit the track at some point and time.

Sure. It was on 93 oct.

Setup is:
2.9 gen 2 front fed whipple
3.75 pulley making 9#'s
132mm t/b
Id1050x injectors w/ msd bap
1" 7/8 mbrp Lt's, o/r h, corsa extremes

Do you have a comparison picture to show the difference between the s197 and s550 electronics? I had my kit installed (preproduction gen5) on my s197 and all was decent to some degree for a while but lately I have been having similar issues like high rev idle, some surging, p0507, etc. I’m working through the process of elimination and I would think that I would have the correct throttle body for my year, but wanted to be sure.
