More like a reading comprehension problem.

All dodge records were done with a one seater. There are only 65 one seaters, if my memory serves me right. Leah ran 9.65 and one of the engineers ran 9.66 after hundreds of passes. The night of the record they ran a 9.8 off the trailer. That’s when they knew the stars were lined up for them.

The other times I provided were from private owners including the 9.78 on 808 ran by the demon talked on here. Which happens to be a factory one-seat car. He ran 9.68 on stock Nitto’s and wheels and 9.57 using aftermarket wheels and tires.

The 10.4 was ran by a bone stock, 4 leather seats Demon on all squared tires. By the way, the one seat demons is cloth, not leather. No optioned demons are one cloth seat, 2-speakers, and no trunk carpet. 200 lbs lighter than a full optioned demon if I remember right.

So 10.4 is the official time off the show room floor with the 4 seats that most every demon has. I think this is what i some of us were looking for. Real numbers for the everyday driver car.

I can agree with that. Full optioned demon on the hands of the average Joe that attempted to get that 9 sec slip as soon as he got the car.

Since a bunch of dodge fans wanna circle jerk, here eat on this fact.

The crate doesn’t come with front skinny tires. You have to buy skinnies.

Car is aftermarket at that point. Change my mind. I’ll be watching louder with crowder episodes while you bullshit

Similar to Speed Phenom's 2020 GT500 runs?

Actually no, professor. His runs did not involve aftermarket front skinny tires on a $1 manufacturer offered aftermarket crate featuring some front runners, a tuned ecu for racegas, or a “stock” car with a pulled seat and air filter change. See his was a stock gt500 on stock tires all around with no aftermarket pieces on pump gas.

They did modify the car for his 3rd pass but it had 0aftermarket involvement as they just dropped air pressure in the rear tires, oh and they had a prepped track and about -900da. He weighs north of 160lbs. As well.

Her run in the dodge not-an-angel was at -2500da and she weighs 115lbs. Her run was also on a heavily prepped track. Her run was also one of hundreds to try and make a legendary pass.

His run in his 2 day old gt500 was, cough, 3/3. First time ever drag racing

I can’t see where you mixed any of that up.

To the dodge fans that are reasonable, take no insult.

I love the demon, and the hellcats. No denying they are epic.

Argument is concerning the child like “it’s stock” garbage. Dodge calls it aftermarket. That’s the company selling the damn crate.

Case..........closed.

That was like an intro to his normal post.
He said no. The Demon is aftermarket the 500 was off the showroom.

My own comment will include dodge built a number of great cars for the strip, the best being the demon with its drag suspension and the ability to make it faster so easily...the aftermarket crate. Dodge done good! Cheers!

LOL this is great...

If im not mistaken. Didn’t ford deliver a mustang, cant think of which one, maybe GT350, without a carbon fiber piece installed? Wanna say it was a wing or splitter?

2012-13 Boss Laguna Seca front splitter. Wasn’t cf, but it’s also definitely not aftermarket.

“As delivered to the dealer and customer, the Laguna Seca comes with the base Boss 302 front splitter. The unique Laguna splitter is delivered with the car and must be installed by the owner.”

I don’t even want to bring up the red track key. Lol

Pretty simple, so I'll never understand why these threads get so out of hand. If you're running the car on tires and rims that weren't on it when it was delivered or in the crate that came with your $100k purchase then the car is NOT stock. I don't understand how that's even debatable.

Many. And it’s to protect the pieces which:

1. Paid pieces included in car price
2. They come delivered literally in boxes inside the cars cabin and trunk with seats folded down for safety during shipping, and are Installed BEFORE you leave with the vehicle.
3. Installed and warrantied by the dealer you buy from.
4. Pieces are factory items, not aftermarket accessories.

(Watch speed phenome delivery video to see this, very smart. I’d appreciate that on such small/easily damaged stuff.)

That is 0 resemblance to: buy this aftermarket crate for “$1” on your $85,000 hellcat with body/appearance kit/changes and pulley/tweaks. It’ll ship to you. You will put it together. A local tire store mounts/balances tires you buy on yer shkinniez. You Jenny Craig down to 115lbs and you ship yer car to -2500da and pay for awesome private track prep.

I have zero issue with the crate too. It’s an awesome concept. My gripe is obvious trolls claiming any of that stuff isn’t modifying the fallen angel kitten. I’m sure you can have the crate delivered to the dealer and installed there if you have connection.

It’s easy to replicate those changes on any 400+hp rwd car and SUBSTANTIALLY improve 1/4 times.

Again, 9.65@140 was -2500da and she was a 115lbs driver on a private very prepped track.

A stock 03 cobra with similar driver/da and mods/treatment will go from a high 12 car to mid 11’s with a 115lbs driver, -2500da, drag radials, skinnies, seats pulled, filter and race gas tune. Civic SI and Mazda Miata would run low 13’s too! All stock right?

Crate PCM and console stack with HO button HAVE to be installed by the dealer.

I was under the impression that they kept from putting the crates in the car to keep dealers from getting them and engraving stupid "insert dealer name here" edition crates? And wanted the owner to have input as to what they wanted on their crate? Or am I missing something?

When I had my Charger Hellcat... I got pulled over for my limo tint numerous times. Guess how many times I got pulled over while running my non-DOT Hoosiers on the street.

Comparing the CJ to the Demon is a stretch. A VINless car is far different from a car with tires that are non-DOT compliant.... Food for thought, 2017+ SuperDuties have a recall on their headlights currently because they don’t comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards... they’re too bright. I got a letter last month. So, since 2017... they’ve been operating like that on the road. I get the argument, but GTFO with that BS. The car is still warrantied & they’re not double charging for the crate ($1 as opposed to another $5k that’s already factored into the original Demon price anyway).

Currently though, doesn’t the 720S edge out the Demon on stock 1/4 mile runs anyway...
