Hey everyone,

Been ages since I have been on here but life put the fun on pause. I hope everyone has been doing awesome. I’m looking to get back into some go fast and looking for some feedback. I bought a mint ‘11 Roush Stage 2 and am ready to turn up the power. I have my eye on the VMP gen2R at the moment. Anything I should be aware of with that blower as far as install or reliability? I’m not trying to blow the budget and make ridiculous power because I want to run the stock internals for as long as possible. Money is a factor but is there any other items that are highly recommended by SVTP members above the standard package offered by VMP or Lethal?

I’m no complete rook with FI as I have owned several ‘03 cobras and a lightning before but just new to the coyote motor.

Oh hell nvm. There is a gen3 vs gen2r thread like 6 posts below.

On another note, good to be back.

Welcome back. I've been running these blowers for seven years now. They are fantastic! I'm mostly focused on street use and driveability, but do like to chase a timeslip occasionally.

Awesome that’s good to hear. It seems like they have been getting some good feedback. I love the torque of that type of blower for the fun factor so I’ll probably pull the trigger. I was considering putting a Paxton on it instead but just like the looks of the VMP.

I've been daily driving with the vmp gen 2 for 3yrs and it has been flawless. My daily commute is 50mi round trip and the car acts pretty much like it came from the factory this way. Can't go wrong in my opinion. When it comes time to go hard it's a beast. No track for me just a killer street car.

I’ve been relatively happy with my Gen2R in June...stock like feel during normal driving until I put my foot in it, then comes on strong. Install itself was relatively easy...main issues were silly things like figuring out how to disconnect connectors and the wire harness mod at the computer. I also went ahead and did the oil pump gear upgrade which added a bunch of time...not hard, but time consuming. And paying attention to details.

my only complaint is the P219A error code that occasionally pops up after this install. VMP suggested replacement of the passenger O2 sensor by engine. Odd as I can go a few 100 miles at a time without issue or a week or two of normal driving conditions around town, then just randomly shows up. Tried changing last month, but could get enough slack in harness to get hands on to disconnect connector.
