Uh, that's a steroid. They are horrible for your body, aside from "pain and inflammation"
Educate yourself on therapeutic doses. I am not talking massive body building doses. Doctors do prescribe it more than you think. I guarantee they are safer than booze, cigs, painkillers.
A few years ago, Dr. gave me a steroid shot in the back for some temporary pain I was having. Knocked the pain out almost completely by the time I had made it back to my car.
But, the same stupid douche put me on Lyrica for the long term. Stuff works great, but you don't feel pain like you should. Stopped taking it when I was fixing a hitch for the father-in-law when I kept missing and hitting my hand, only to turn around and see both him and my wife watching me in horror asking me if it hurt. The good Dr. did warn me about that though.

The toll it takes on your liver is pretty bad and you're better off taking natural supplements instead of this.
Just had a prescription of Prednisone and it didn't do too much compared to me taking a few ibuprofen.
Get a comfort dog and add more fruits and vegetables to your diet and you'll be just fine.

prednisone is a cortical steroid, not an anabolic...They also tend to give massive doses then taper it off with prednisone, it’s usually an oral too and that is hard on you(metabolized in the liver ). FWIW it’s never worked well for me either. Testosterone and nandrolone have and I do blood work quarterly, my liver enzymes have never moved, but I am not taking anything beyond the doctor prescribed therapeutic dose.
