If you can’t tell then this thread won’t help you.

side note: bald tires or factory stock tires does not mean anything. Tires are subjective and if it’s a stock piece or close to the new owner having to replace them, it’s really not worth the money to throw new tires on them if the new owner has different use for the vehicle. It should be the new owners decision and a price concession.

All good points here. I only bring up the wide band from the perspective of if a car is making serious boost, I personally would question the owners ability to know what is going on with their car under high boost. It’s only my perspective. You can usually get a feel for what an owner knows about their car just by talking to them.

I am the guy who bought a car that was beat on, and then some. 6 owners, engine noise, inter cooler system put together with hose and copper couplers and 90’s from the local hardware store. Oh! and my favorite!! Two fuel pumps ghetto rigged together in a non Cobra fuel tank with 16awg wire jammed under the fuel pickup tube. I still bought her! It made for a fun time making her safe for me to BEAT ON!!!! And I love every minute of it!

Uh WRONG! Apparently you did not read or understand my post.

Says the guy who keeps a non-functional nitrous kit on his car because it “looks cool”. Lmao!!

Do you dry it with a leather chamois from 1986 while wearing new balance shoes?

Long live the ghost cam tune!

I guess I determine the word "beat on" as a form of neglecting the car. I do some spirited driving, as that's what the car is for.

I feel anytime I open her up, I'm setting her free! It makes the lady in red happy!

But I'm also one that keeps up on maintenance, always looking things over.

After every cruise, I pop the hood and look things over.

I have to agree with this.

Too many times people see something or do not see something and make an "assumption."

My car is a perfect example. I have a Nitrous system installed on my car. I sprayed it twice and have never used it again. However, I think it looks cool. So, I keep it on my car. Electrical is not hooked up so, it doesn't even work.

I guarantee you if I try to sell my car as is the perspective buyer would assume my car was beat on. They would be wrong.

Can you help me to understand why you would buy a nitrous system, go through all the trouble to install it correctly, only to use it twice and then just leave it on for looks.

Additionally, does nitrous automatically mean that a vehicle has been abused, compared to a turbo or s/c? Proper install and tune matter more than anything.

I'd buy a low miles nitrous car that's had the kit for three years before I'd buy a higher mileage car with ratty smaller mods.
