For your tuning go to Max V they did my F1a bullitt. That area you're looking at is good but traffic does really suck in the morning and afternoon. Police in that area are also strict I got a speeding ticket for doing 48 in a 45. I've lived in San Antonio my whole life it's a great city the car scene is good and the food is amazing! Great diversity here when you move here let me know we can meet for lunch and I'll show you around a bit.

Absolutely will do! It’ll be springtime-ish.

Shoutout for the Houston bunch

Sorry, bro, San Antonio is way nicer than Houston. I've been all over Houston, and it's insanely crowded and infested with crime. Maybe the Woodlands isn't but that's about it. San Antonio has a few rough areas, but still nicer IMO.

Don't kid yourself, SA has a growing violent crime problem. This is from 2018, it shows San Antonio has outpaced all US cities in growing violent crime rate, up 52% to take 1st place.... Houston is no peach in that regard either, however its a much bigger city/metro area and has only grown 9% in that statistic. Austin and Dallas are up too. I blame all the shit heel liberal locust moving here in droves.... That said I would encourage anyone living in Texas or moving here to conceal carry.

Oh...neat.

I’ve been suggesting my wife gets her conceal carry; this solidified that.

If you're talking about the metro area all the way out to the Woodlands then there is a lot of cities that are nice to the west and south as well.

I'll rephrase that. Where I live on the Northwest side, I've never had an issue. In reality, it depends on the part of the city you live in, and I know that is true for every big city. I still like the Vibe and City of San Antonio better than Houston.

I've lived here for almost 7 years and just recently found out I live on the "North West" side. From a strictly geographical sense it is actually the west side. Property crime seems pretty high as I'm always seeing some shit on the neighborhood FB pages. I don't dare take my Raptor to Casa Blanca and only quick stops at Bass Pro or anywhere at The Rim. I'm not saying SA is crazy bad, but it is not a leave your doors unlocked or valuable shit in plain view place.

Had someone tell me to “definitely” live outside the 410, and would recommend outside the 1604 as well. He said that crime rates, neighborhood roughness, etc. drops the further out you go, which makes sense of any big city.

Looking at the map, it looks like Schertz falls outside the 1604 but Converse does not. However, that’s all on the Northeast side of town. Where would y’all suggest for Northwest?

Thoughts on that?

My wifes good friend lives in a town called Helotes right outside 1604. She lives in a gated neighborhood off of Hausman road. The city is growing like crazy, especially that area. It's pretty nice over there IMO.

I live in the far northwest just outside of 1604 it's pretty chill you can look into Helotes too but prices will go up. We just got rezoned so half my subdivision is Helotes now .But honestly crime is everywhere and in every city. I can tell you I grew up very poor and lived in the projects which is super ruff so honestly nothing is really crazy to me. But for the better neighborhoods stay far north and far northwest and you'll good. You're not going to like Converse I can already tell.
