Supercharged Daily Tire - r888r vs RE-71r vs ???

My 2011 GT is about to go in for a whipple install so I’m in the market for some new rubber. Car is a summer daily (depending on weather) that I drive to work and take on spirited runs, but a track visit or 2 isn’t out of the question either. I really want a streetable tire that can (sorta) handle 650ish wheel hp that isn’t a drag radial.

I’ve mainly narrowed my search down to either a Toyo R888r or a Bridgestone Potenza Re-71r on my 20x9.5 Hyperblack Roush wheels. The grip potential of the R888r intrigues me but I’d rather not swap these out every 6k-8k miles. On the other hand, the Bridgestones seem to still offer a respectable amount of grip and it looks like I could potentially get 15k-20k out of a set.

Mainly looking for advice from anyone with daily experience with either of these options or I’m open to other suggestions that would fit my criteria. Thanks in advance!

You might want wider wheels, max width on a 9.5" wheel is probably 275 maybe 285. I'm getting very decent results on & off track with Nitto NT-01 305-35/18's on 10.5" wheels @ 635 RWHP. I don't expect to make 10k street miles though, on track WAY less!

Im running 285 on a 9.5 inch rim, 305 on a 10.5 inch rear rim. Real happy. Just replaced my tread with GY F1 3R...been real happy with them. Not sure they would be a good daily driver tire. There a great
track tire for GY....so far.

What is the reason for no drag radials? I used to run Nitto's 555r drag radials daily and would get about 15,000 miles on them. They were great even in bad rain. I ran Hoosiers dr's at the track

I know that 9.5 is a little on the narrow side, but I'm pretty partial to the wheels on the car now. I considered having them widened but that process is so damn expensive.

I was mainly trying to stay away from DR's because of the weather concern and for potentially losing handling capabilities. The car is currently on a 275/35 squared set up with a bunch of suspension goodies and I love the way the car can handle corners. That's one of the main reasons why the Toyo R888r was on the top of my list.

About what I was figuring. DRs aren't going to work very well as front tires, and they don't have as much lateral stiffness as a tire whose focus is on cornering & handling so the cornering 'feel' would be softer/less precise. Even less responsive or precise on minimum-recommended-width wheels.

Bingo. I'm well aware that the I'm asking for a unicorn tire here, so I will undoubtedly have to give something up (flat out grip, handling, mileage, price, etc.)
