Guys
I found a 2003 Terminator Vert for sale , original owner, never modded, very clean. It has 38K miles on it and the seller is asking $20K do you feel thats a fair price?
Thank you
Bill

Yeah, that's a very good price if nothing is wrong with it.

Based solely off what you said, it’s on the cheaper side but Not enough info to flat out say it’s a steal max As there more factors than # of owners, miles, not modded and clean title. You’re timings well as There’s alot of pickup in buzz of buy.sell the Termi lately around the forum and out n about. There’s some good threads inside the board about what to look for and note if you proceed forward. Good luck.

I think its a fair for both sides price. Vert's may eventually make the swing back to being more than the coupe value in the next 10 years or so. Could be a good buy for you as these cars have already bottomed.

What color is it>
Why is the guy selling?
Clean carfax?

Pics?

Good Luck!

I keep on putting off selling my cobra. I really want a 5.0. My car is pretty mint. clean. when I have time and get my health back on track from the stress at work I will sell mine for 23K. I think it has 16K miles. I dont even remember lol I dont really like the cobra anymore. after being in these boosted coyotes, it makes my 690rwhp cobra feel like a turd. I have owned it for 17 years. Time for a better and faster car.

If the car is at a dealership they have a ton of room in that car. I promise you, they didn't give the guy anything for it on trade. You can probably get it between 15k and 18k and it never hurts to try. You will not make them mad.

I purchased my SM vert in Apr of 2016 from a member here. I paid 15K for it. However, mine had 75K miles on it. So, I think 20K for one with 38K miles is fair. However, as mentioned, the dealer stole that car from the previous owner. So, you can probably get it for 18K or even less.

They did put some money into it axle boots, alignment, balanced tires, rear brakes, rotors, changed all fluids and differential rear gasket. I offered them $17,500 they came back at $19,000.

I meant that they didn't pay much for the car. Dealers won't allow much money for trade on these cars, it is considered hard do move. I am surprised they didn't get closer to your offer but hey, if you are happy with the price that is all that matters.

I know a car like that at a dealer in Indiana. I have a Sonic Blue vert that I purchased recently but, but I do crazy stuff periodically so I’ve been perusing the market for a sister to it- not a serious buyer yet btw-
Don’t know if that the one you’re talking about( this is a 2 owner car) but it looks clean.
If that’s the one, IMO/ and in my experience- they haven’t had it long enough to go $17,500 .
You can wait them out at risk of losing it, or try for another $500
Either way- GOOD LUCK

I appreciate your feedback, I'm going to counter offer him again and see where that goes. He sent me a video on the car and it's making a squeaking noise it sounds like belt pulley he was going to check it out.I'll keep you posted.

Time to call them up and reduce your offer to 17K and tell them it's because you have heard that 'squeaks' cost lots in these cars. Then ask them if they know of any other squeaks that you haven't noticed yet.
