Miscellaneous Upgrades

I am hoping to modernize my Lightning by doing a few upgrades. Unfortunately, I haven’t had too much luck when searching.

I have replaced the stock stereo with an aftermarket one. I don’t like the microphone that clips on the sun visor. I was hoping to go with a more “clean” or stock look by adding one to the headliner. The closest thing I found was a Enfig video on YouTube. I believe they are using a 2008-2016 Ford F-250 headliner microphone. I would like the part number for the plastic trim pieces. Their site has a Enfig MIC-FD1, which replaces the Ford mic with a 3.5mm to 2.5mm.

For the second item, my cup holder just broke. I was hoping to add a ring light to the cup holders like on almost every new vehicle. I was wondering if anyone did a retrofit job that looked good. I don’t want one of the cheap coaster lights.

Finally, I would like to remove and replace the glovebox handle with one that locks.

I know I am asking for a lot, but any help would be appreciated.

From what I can tell, it looks like the trim piece and the microphone are sold as one unit, but I would need to purchase a mount plate separately.

if youre looking at OEM ford parts I usually go to Tasca Fordparts and look at the diagrams, they have good pricing on stuff too.

I dont think any OEM lightning solution is gonna be good for the whole cupholder deal, they sell LED rope/string lights you may be able to use and power off of something with the headlights.

locking glovebox - would have to see if any trim F150 for this body style had that option, you'll be stuck hunting one down if such a thing exists and may have to paint to match which may not end up matching a 15+ year old dash

I have an Expedition console installed in my '02. Bolts right in. They have the same floor pan. You gain 2 cup holders. See my avatar.
