I am thinking about a C6Z or C7Z build. LS9 or LT4? I have been watching RPM vids and like them. I know Katech is super well regarded. Who is the best? Thanks.

LS9 for me. I like the ZR1 more. Engine wise the only thing I don’t like about the LT4 is the blower.

Pick your poison.

I guess there issue of direct injection too

GM has managed to minimize the coking/carbon buildup on intake valves. Nothing like the issues BMW has had with carbon buildup. Though it still is going to happen, wish they'd use port and direct injection. I'd definitely run a catch can/separator if I had an LT powered car. That said I still prefer the looks and LS9 in the C6 ZR1.

Wasn’t aware they made the c6z with an LS9....

that being said, I like the ls9 better but the looks and interior of the c7z all day son!

I have never been sure what the appropriate nomenclature was. C6Z = Z06 not ZR1?
I'm "assuming" that's why you posted either LS9 or LT4?
I think the LS9 is a beast. Especially when modded. Check out what Kong Performance has done wit those bad boys.

Test drive both of them and start from there. But make sure you road test the C6 first. Once you get in a C7 is hard to go back to a C6.

Driven all of them and C6 ZR1 is still my favorite. And this is why I will be purchasing one as well next year. LS9 is a such a stout platform to make an easy and safe 850 to the tire on moderate (15ish psi) boost.

And contrary to consensus on aesthetics, I like the C6 lines more, especially the wide body Z variants. So much character and classic vette lines IMO. Plus the retention of the classic ROUND tail lights. Just my $.02

DI is ok as long as you run a true catch can system on both sides of the motor. The ford EB motors create some NASTY shit in the intake system. Valves being caked under 100k miles.

AMP and Vengeance Racing have built some bad C7’s.
I was going to mention Vengeance Racing, but I think they are kind of pricey.
But, then again,...aren't they all?? lol But, they do build some fast cars for sure.

What about Race Proven Motorsports? How are they?
I know Katech is a great company as well.
