Parking brake caliper.

I personally don't buy the "novice" drag racer line he's pulling in the last video(s).

Evan would've pulled a 9 outta that car if punchable face youtuber ran those times as a novice.

Nice #'s out of that car if they didn't mess with the dyno settings to show those #'s.

Only on GT500 AFAIK, the 350's still have the parking brake drum with shoes inside the rotor setup.

It's probably because it's not hard to get a good time out of an auto car if grip is present and air is decent.

Adding launch control makes this even easier.

Still don't buy he's a novice drag racing this car. It's YouTube, you can come across as anyone and anybody on social channels.

They definitely messed with it to show the highest number. STD instead of SAE and speed instead of rpm. Still an impressive car regardless. I don't care what the dyno number is it still ran 10.66.

Interesting...he weighed it.
With nothing in it & basically an empty tank...4080lbs...not too bad considering what earlier GT500's weighed vs. new capabilities

Bad time of the year to drive from Michigan back to Cali, this guy could've easily flew there to see it, do payment etc etc then send the truck to pick it up and see it unloaded back home then start driving it.

My ZR1 showed up late in Winnipeg (supposed to be early Sept but didn't show up till early Oct.) I flew out there to see it and pay for it then sent the truck to ship it to me in Toronto.

If it was spring/summer/early fall time of year then for sure...………...drive away.

Empty tank or not it will still be a 4200+ # car. You'll always have a driver in the car.......150-200lbs or more so it will be 4200lbs + if not more no matter what.

Surrounded by libetards.
The delivery weight of a car doesn't include the weight of a driver. Do you think the announced weight of a demon or ZL1 include the weight of a fat American? The cars are porky despite lightweight materials everywhere due to government crash standards and emissions equipment....Regardless of manufacturer.

Not talking about delivery weight. Of course I know delivery weight doesn't include a driver but no matter what with an empty tank it's 4200+ pounds.

A Hellcat with empty tanks and with a driver will be about 4400+ lbs. Just stating facts.

Meh, you have to go off no driver weight considering no car we care about can be without one.

One of the nice, small touches I really appreciate with this car are the badges. The big snake up front and back and the smaller one on the sides.

Yea, you don’t include driver weight. That’s silly.

Yeah, I get it for this discussion the 4080 weight on SP's car is no driver but again with a driver of any sort it WILL be a 4200# car. That's all I'm saying. With a full tank + a driver you will be looking at 4380 #...……………..pushing 4400. A Hellcat full tank with a driver would be #4600 or so.

Yeah, it moves out, it's running a decent # etc etc...…...still need a lap time on a track to compare with its competition (and a weight # for the CFTP car)...…………..and it is still HEAVY no matter how you slice it.

Very cool!! Damn I'm glad I didn't make any videos when my '13 GT500 got delivered. Some of you guys are brutal to this guy for being young. Congrats to him and his badass ride!
