There’s another interstellar comet headed our way. Unlike Oumuamua in 2017, this one has a tail. It was discovered August 30, 2019, by an amateur astronomer named Gennady Borisov.

What I know so far:

It’s from outside our solar system. It’s only going to pass through here once.

December 7th it will be closest to the sun, about 166,000,000 miles away from Earth.

December 28th it will be about the same distance from Earth.

It’s going 93,000mph.

It’s somewhere between 1.2 -10 miles in diameter.

Chemical analysis so far shows it being very similar to comets in our own solar system.

I have not yet heard if it will be visible to the naked eye.

Latest word is it will be way too dim to see unaided. You’ll need a good telescope and dark skies to see it.

Still waiting on another comet like the one that went through in the mid 90's. It had a huge tail and had a spiral look to it straight above in the sky as it approached Earth. As the nights past it had a long tail and could be seen in the northern skies.

I remember buying a expensive pair of binoculars for Halleys to get a better view. It was worth it.

The 60' time sucked. Would've picked up a few extra light years with a better launch.

Wow, impressive.

Is this comet priced OTD or OTD Plus TTL?

Is it stock, with swapped wheels and tires? Is it negative DA in space?

Is it faster than the MILLENIUM FALCON? I watch some movie I think called Deep Impact and used to get worried about something hitting Earth but after awhile...it’s just the movies rights?
