Does anyone know the bolt/thread size of the Whipple Aux idler, where it bolts to the engine? I noticed yesterday that I have one missing somehow. I've emailed them but have a feeling they aren't going to tell me and just want to sell me the entire idler again. Pic shows bolt I'm talking about.

I had no luck buying bolts locally, they were longer than what anyone had. The whipple bolts were kinda crappy and began to round out first time I removed it, I just ordered 2 sets of bolts in stainless from fastenal so I'd have extra. If I remember I'll check the size tonight.

Why not take the other bolt out and measure it? Or bring it to a hardware store.

Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using the svtperformance.com mobile app

Yeah I have it out but they're different sizes and can't seem to find one locally.

I just ordered my idler from whipple and got some discount on Black Friday. I’ll probably end up ordering bolts as well if they are not good. Other than the bolts how do you like the idler?

I forgot to look tonight as I was trying to get my motor sealed up. I believe the short bolt is 60mm and the long is 80mm. It cost me $25 for 4 with shipping. If you want I'd sell the spare set.

So far I like it, to be honest I haven't driven the car much though. Which is why I was surprised the bolt was gone. Either I forgot to tighten it or the stock ones are junk. Make sure when you get it you have the correct pulley. The one in my picture above is wrong one for the cobra. It's for a Camaro so I had to go back and forth with them to get the correct one. Seems the price keeps going up, I think I got mine shipped and all for $250 but I can't remember for sure.

Send me a PM on what you'd want for an extra set.

Yes thank you for the heads up. I had already seen a post about this a while back so I was sure to be very specific as to what year and model I was ordering for. I hope to get the right one the first time around.

Oh I was too and they still messed it up. I was worried because I didn't notice it until about 4 months later when I actually started getting the car together. They did ship me a new one for free though and told me to keep the old one as a paper weight.

Make sure to put antisieze on the bolts before installing it. The bolts on mine were frozen in place after a couple months.

instead of waiting for someone on a forum to maybe give you an answer, call Whipple directly and ask - they will tell you the exact specs. Had to do that a while back when a hex started to round out on one of mine. It was easy to get them from Fastenal once I had the correct info right from the source.

Already did this. They just wanted to sell me the entire idler again. Thanks for the input.

Whoever you talked to was an ignoramus. I was given the info easily since the bolts were easy to acquire on my own and not that expensive: they are just metric flat head socket cap screws. You need to call back and get someone who actually cares to help.
