The 2003 SVT Cobra. Love the power, the whine, and my Bassani exhaust rumbling. I loved driving that car.

My 1972 Mach 1. It was heavy with a limited view. But, with the 429 Cobra Jet, Ram Air, that thing ran like a scalded ape. I had my fun.

My 1969 Shelby GT-500. I never really ran it hard, but I loved driving it. Loved the open mouth stares as I drove by. It was a real head trip, such a beautiful car.

A notable mention would be my '73 Datsun 240z. Little, zippy and good looking. When you'd downshift and get on it, the hood would rise up. Quite a delight for a 19 year old.

I absolutely love Vipers. It has always been a dream for me, but now that I actually own a GTS, I love them even more.
The exhaust note on everything above idle maybe isn't the most spectacular, tho with Corsa exhaust and longtubes mine absolutely screams like it's straight piped sp that's pretty cool.
With Borlas or similar they just sound odd.

I still have the T-bird yes. Undergoing some restoration work again. Maybe I'll have her out until 2021, but by that time i might have a new engine to put in her, delaying it.
But she makes good burnouts. Full throttle, rev limiter in 3rd gear on 275's. It's a smoke machine!

Actually one really cool car in terms of just acceleration is something I rode shotgun in, didn't drive.
Audi S8.
0-100 in 4.44 seconds with 5 people inside and full disco club mode with roof lighting and so on. That was really cool!
My wife used to own an '88 T-Bird (V8) which she loved. Stock. No mods.

I know what you mean about the exhaust note with the V10. Stock and with certain setups it always reminded me of a modded UPS truck. Sounds like you found the sweet spot with your Corsa/longtubes setup. Enjoy!

my favorite driving experience, by far, was a 996 seal grey turbo. i love everything about those cars particularly how they are way faster than they look and are easier to drive than a honda civic.

I really enjoy driving our 2015 Grand Caravan RT. It’s smooth, comfortable and handles surprisingly well for a van.

My former C5 Z06 with H/C/I/E was a total blast to drive. Insane speed, excellent cornering ability, and you just felt like you were one with the machine and the road.

Drove a ‘66 AC Cobra replica with a 428 that was just insanely fun in every aspect. Scary too. Total adrenaline rush and it really felt raw with the open air.

1995 Acura NSX: ****ing brilliant car. To this day those seats were perfection for my 6’3 height and build. Gearbox was butter, cornering was straight scalpel like, and the whole package felt perfectly put together. Another 150-200 horses and it wouldve been an all-timer in my garage before prices spiraled out of control. Honda’s best ever car made to this day. I enjoyed this ride much more than my ex-girlfriends twin turbo ‘98 Supra.

I’ve driven a ton of cars over the years, but these stand out.

In order:

Current:
2018 Camaro ZL1-1LE. Love everything about it. Tons of power, comfortable seats, drives awesome and looks brutally evil. Fits me perfectly. Never thought I would ever own a GM vehicle let alone a Camaro but this car is everything I could have asked for. Once I saw one, it was a must have and the 03 Cobra was for sale.

2016 Fiesta ST. Comfy to drive and a lot of fun to blast around in. Really brings out the inner child. Kids love hanging the turns with dad in it. ;-) Like a turbo charged gokart. Lol!

Past:

My Mom’s 1988 Cadillac Allante’ when she had it. Just a unique car to drive. Not the fastest or most comfortable but fun to cruise and very unique for it’s time. Not very reliable for sure. That thing was always in the shop. Tons of electronics that did not want to talk to each other. American and Italian engineering does not mix well.

Best car I have driven sort of depends on what I was doing at the time. Sort of like the what is the best caliber gun to own. All depends on what needs shot.
Best highway cruiser went hands down to a Mercedes E class. Great ride but horrible depreciation. Customers grandkids had torn the rear window sunshades and he balked at $2500 each for parts.
Best 4x4, Raptor. Friend took me around his farm in his and it was incredible.
Best practical 4x4, 78 Bronco. New enough for convenience options, old enough you could fix it on the trail.
Best sportscar 2013 Z06. There are many better, but that was the best I have driven.
Best Muscle car Olds 442. Again best that I have driven, not necessarily the best.
Best smile on my face car, 2016 GT350. I really do miss my Boss302 at times though.

I guess the best for me would be the cars I sold and want to buy again:

  • C6Z: in stock form it was great and it was even better with H/C/I/E. The whole experience was what made the car: lightweight, tons of grip, tons of power, good looks. If I hadn't owned this car, my '03 Cobra would have been on the list.
  • E46 M3: car was not great at anything, but was good at everything. It was an awesome daily driver.
  • Jeep SRT: it would make you forget you were driving a a 5k+lb SUV. That is, until it was time to get gas, tires, brakes, etc. I still want another one--but perhaps a trackhawk

Give me anything pre 1960 and it’s usually a fun treat. Not that they are fast or hip, but I love driving a slow older car that still runs or has been restored. Cruising down the block at 30 mph feels special in an old international or a 1930’s ford imo.

Mclarens and high end Porsche’s feel great otherwise but they damn well should for the money and hype.

Most fun - KB 2.2 Terminator

Enjoyable - 04 Gallardo (sounds like a jet engine behind you just cruising so intoxicating!)

Overall - 04 CTS V, loved that car just didn't wanna replace the motor but wish I would have now. Just seeing the look on peoples faces seeing a caddy get down and pounding the ground at idle was fun to watch lol.

Man I am a ****ing poor compared you guys.

I don't drive other peoples cars, but the best driving cars I've owned
2014 Audi S4
1997 BMW 540i 6 speed
2018 Mustang GT PP1

The audi was so smooth, balanced. I loved it.
The BMW, even for a 97 had a wonderful power band, the trans was perfectly matched and the braking and handling were far above anything else from the era in the US.
My mustang, the brakes are amazing, the power is great, and as a DD its very well suited.
