What started out super promising had a disappointing finish to the night. One of the injectors quit on the 14lb pass and that ended our night prematurely. The car was sounding and performing awesome. Somewhere along the line a brand new injector got clogged and I have no clue when or where. I’ll have to get the injectors out, sent off and flowed and try again. That’s what the dyno is for right? Workin the bugs out. So for now this gives you an idea what the car sounds like under some decent boost.

What did she make before it cut out?
It was wanting to make big power down low. The fuel and torque curve went flat at 3600 RPM and it was seeing 520/521 at that point lol. My tuner said there’s well over 800rwhp in the car at 19-20lbs. 1000 on 25-26lbs. It was ready for it that’s for sure...as was I. Disappointed but not discouraged. I’ll have it back there in a couple weeks. Wish I had some cooler news for all you faithful bros but that’s kinda how it goes I guess in this game sometimes.

Looking forward to more details and progress.
After discussing things in depth with my tuner we’ve decided to swap a short runner intake on the car while the injectors are out. We feel we like we are going to lose power up top due to not having enough camshaft to wake the current intake up in the high rpms. Don’t worry...it will be custom. Wasn’t an easy decision but I want this car to perform as perfect as it appears.

Wow, tough choice. I thought the short runners were for top end and longer for bottom and midrange? Maybe I read it backwards, I am tired and just finished a long drive

Correct, the MMR intake is performing incredibly well down low but it’s causing the car to lose steam up top where the turbo does it’s best work. This car was built with rolls and highways in mind so I don’t want it to fade out back

My worthless $.02... falling off up top could be the turbo choice.

That unit is known to choke up the exhaust on coyote motors. I know this is not a coyote, but it’s similar enough with the work youve done it’s worth looking into.

You might need to switch it up to a borg Warner with a larger hot side.

Hmmm, Interesting theory. Precision spec’d this turbo specifically for my setup. I’d be pretty bummed out if that were the case. We’ll soon find out!

Check out this video... the 7675 doenst flow enough on the hot side for Ford 4 valve motors in my opinoin and many others.

The intro is hokey but ffwd to about the 2:00 mark and he describes the differences. His car was falling off HARD up top and actually not making the amount of boost his wastegate springs should have allowed. I.E., he had 7 o 8 psi springs in the gates and the car was only makin 5 psi boost because the hot side of the turbo was choking the motor so bad. Some of his other videos explain this as well.

I believe this is the same exact turbo you are running... the Precision LS series 7675.

The intake manifold you have is a beauty and i seriously doubt its the reason your car is lacking up top... worth looking into sir!!

Ahhh there’s the difference. The LS series is a junk $900 journal bearing turbo. I’m running the brand new gen 2 ball bearing billet wheel CEA. Really the best 76mm they offer. It definitely shouldn’t be the weak point. Heck I made 750 plus with a crummy Turbonetics 76mm on a stock 4 valve with ease. Here’s mine
