So as many people know the major flaw yet to be corrected on our engine is the intercooler core that sits under the blower. The small fluid lines and the fact that it flows sub 900cfms is a huge issue. Now that so many of us are pushing 1800+cfm, that sudden flow restriction right after the blower helps build heat to already heated air coming from the blower. It looks like J2Fab has a really nice piece coming out. Claims to be 40% more GPMs of coolant flow and 30% more CFM of air flow then stock. This should greatly reduce temps and help with bigger numbers and faster track times. Plus finding good stock ones now a days can be difficult.

I don't know pricing or any of the specifics yet but I am really excited about it and thought maybe pass some of the info. If anyone get's one please post up pics and info on how you like it.

I believe a local guy ordered one. Or is on the list for one. I want to say it was about $1000.

Justin is not offering any deals on these right now.

Ok, one of the guys that bought one last night said he did and it was much less than $1000. Like I said I have seen a bunch of different #s on price thrown out there.

To be fair I saw this in a group chat and it's possible there were missed messages.

No worries. I went back and reread my texts from the gentleman that just bought one and sent him a message seeing if he will say what he paid. He may not of gotten the 10% off in the end. He said his original quote was 10% off but may of changed once he finally got it.

***EDIT***

Well crap now I see where I went wrong. One of the topics they have both the intercooler and heat exchanger prices on pics of the intercooler core. Reading quick I got confused. $899 for the 03/04 Cobra intercooler, $999 for the GT500 intercooler and $1199 for the Heat Exchanger for both cars.

Justin has posted in several different groups on FB that the core is $899 and the HE is $1199. I wonder how someone got different pricing.

Ya I went back and reread. The intercooler core is not a bad price at all. The guy I was talking to says he was quoted 10% off a bit before he ordered. Once he ordered he may not of gotten the 10% off in the end as I did not ask final price at the time.

I think that price really isn't too bad. I was looking for a spare core not too long ago to have modified. Price of the core, modification, and shipping probably puts it around, if not more than the new intercooler.

What’s the story with the heat exchanger? Is there a thread somewhere? For $1200 it must be impressive!

I have not seen any threads just a couple Facebook posts on it. It is supposed to be pretty badass, but like every part from everyone I am skeptical until I see commoners have results, but would love more info on it.

cant wait to see one of these in action. looks like it will raise the blower since it will be separated by the plate. should make blower maintenance much easier but also means that a lot of guys will need an aftermarket hood.

So is the mounting plate just to show how it will mount up or is it really part of it? My setup is so tall a plate will really suck. I already have 1/2" spacers and a 3" hood.

Ok just asked Justin and he said that is for his Turbo setup and the intercooler will add no additional height!

Justin's IC bolts to the bottom of all the superchargers just like OEM and the blower bolts to the lower intake. No additional height or spacers are used.
