Is there a amount of milage or time before you have to rebuild one.
I know maintenance and how fast it spins has allot to do with it but average use let’s say

If your just gonna Street it and following the recommendations staying within the tolerences/specs Outlined by KB.... it should, it should last the life of a car. There’s always expectations. Typically problems arrise when they are over spun / beat on repeatedly. I’ve seen guys throw in KB on mustangs with the clock rolled into 1xx,xxx. And I think you’d need a engine rebuild before SC.

Just really depends how you treat it. If you don't over spin it a lot it will last you a long long time.

Rebuilt mine 3K mi after buying it used with supposedly 5k on it from original owner.
They are old blowers, if it has not been rebuilt, it's a matter of time until the factory seals stop holding oil.
i would bank on a rebuild into the price IMO if it has not been done already

For sure not the norm. I see the number 1 issue with twin screws is people not understanding how much oil to put in. More boost less oil. If you have too much oil in and run high boost you will can blow seals on the twin screws. Many times people will run low boost and put in the right oil. Then crank up the boost but not remove oil and blow seals.

Agreed with you and that is what I would be weary about with the 2.2, it's is an old blower and they are all likely well used at this point. It's not like buying a brand new 2.8
