2 of the 3 pictured in OP are actually coal fired

Lol. Thanks for clarifying. Is it like comparing a fully aged six month old Beaujolais Nouveau with a fine 20 year Cabernet? (Wood being underage coal). Learn something new every day. Embarrassing to admit I used to think that electricity produced by hydro, solar and wind turbine was interchangeable as well. Good to know.

I'm going to damn well make pizza tonight. Ham, capicollo, sopresetta, mushroom, banana peppers and a five cheese Italian mix. Slightly over charred. Thanks for pushing me to this.

Louie and Ernies
Tommy's Pizza
John's on Bleecker
Johnny's in Mt Vernon

Those are the best. If you believe portnoy, who is from Massachusetts by the way, about pizza he of course sticks to his new haven/mass roots. He doesnt know pizza. He did the right thing on Johnny's review tho. If he wasnt biased they would've crushed Pepes

Detroit pizza > all others! Buddy’s, Shields, green Lantern.

Lou malnati’s is great Chicago style and better than Giordanos IMO. Pequods is great as well.

Jack's Supreme $2.78 @walmart.

Throw on some extra cheese and pepperoni.

Roughly $25 a week and you can have it every night

No question about that. Have been there and done that. But my favorite pizza since I grew up outside NYC and went to school there for 4 years will always be NYC pizza. Cali and Florida have the worst pizza. Not too edible. Probably the only good ones are the pizza makers who import their water from NY. The hidden secret of NYC pizza is upstate NY water.
LOL. My wife and I used to live in CA (Long Beach). She's Italian and we both love good pizza. We searched and searched but never did find a pizza in the LA/Long Beach area that was near decent.

Meh, it's all garbage when compared to pizza in Italy (Naples)...but pizza is like sex, even bad pizza is good.

That's what my chick says.

I went to Italy last year and when I got back I ordered an Uuni to do some wood fire pizzas.. I've been trying to perfect it for a while now.

They're really good, just not exactly where I want them. All made from scratch - Dough and sauce - My dough is solid, sauce still needs some work.

I actually made a few this past week. I ran out of mozz so I used a few different cheeses. LOL It was super oily but it was still pretty solid. I hope to make it to NY and eat a **** ton of pizza within the next year.

My first pie I ever made below... Didn't let the top cook enough but it was edible.

Edit- FWIW - I can't find buffalo Mooz here in my town. It ****ing sucks. Everything I find has to high of a moisture content compared to when I was in Italy.

That is funny Bob. My wife's brother works in Long Beach and lives outside Anaheim. He has been out there over 30 years. When we did go out there and its been a while never was able to find good pizza. Ate at a California Pizza kitchen out there once long time ago and it was disgusting. I am certainly a pizza snob being Italian and have never eaten the likes of Dominoes, Pizza Hut or Little Caesars. Fast food pizza does not cut it for me. My wife is Irish/German/Polish and does not care about pizza too much.
