No. I have stated 58K every time I have referred to the price. And have clarified a few times that I should have stated "plus tax and tags" (which is what most dealers (in the wild) will say. But a few forum goers insist on their own logic, and they are entitled to their opinion. And that's fine. I don't really care about that.

What I do find interesting, Is that a few continue to harp on whether my price include tax and tags, but the GT500, with its crazy pricing breakdown, is no problemo.. *(below is not including tax and tags)

Let see, lets option one out to the bare minumum -
+70300 base price
+1095 D&D
+2600 gas guzzler
+3000 the basic tech pack 67T
+1375 Just to get vinyl stripes.. When I bought my 08, these were included I believe. So you can add that right in to the bottom line.
and 10 k for painted stripes. Which is even expensive by supercar standards. That's pretty ridiculous.
base seats
$78,370 (plus tax and tags) for a pretty lean and mean GT500 without all the foofy useless options like the $18500 carbon fiber pack. or the cosmetic but useless $1000 carbon fiber interior trim pack. Lets not even take the Recaros @ 1595, to keep the price down.

$78,370 (Its important to note that many dealers will not even let you order a GT500 that is optioned with this few options) So Good luck finding one, or being permitted to put your order through in this fassion.
10k dealer markup -(And this in on the low end. many dealers are asking for more now )
$88,370.00 OTD plus tax and tags (and you will lose that 10 k the minute you drive off the lot).

So comparing that to my RedEye, which come pretty well equipped in base form, its ROUGHLY 20k more before you factor in the markups.
and then ROUGHLY 30k more (and up) after the ridiculous Dealer markups.. (BTW - IMO, If you are paying 1k in markup on this GT500, ( you are paying TOO Much) Don't listen to the BS.

So in the real world, not going crazy with the options, you're looking at about a 30k difference between the two. The delta being about the amount of money it takes right now, to buy a used 07-10 GT500 with low miles.

This roughly 20-30k is an enormous amount of money to someone actually buying the car on a working person's salary. If you are Old and Rich, have an inheritance, or your parents are buying it for you then, this conversation is irrelevant and does not apply to you.

I've been in the business for over 10 years and OTD has ALWAYS meant out the door including tax and license and ALL fees

*secret squirrel pricing and not OTD

*and on 17 inch drag wheel and with crazy DA
If the GT500 can match my 1.4 60's with DR's, then it will be an "automated" drivers race. but I have feeling they wont launch as well. We will see.

Just went on Dodge's website. Redeye's do not come with DR's and @Purvis said "stock, different DR"

They also have 20" wheels, you have a 17" wheel. Plus, that doesn't look like a DR, it looks like a god damn slick. That is besides the point.

So, mineshaft DA, swapped wheel, drag radial/slick. Got it.

With all due respect sir, that quote was in reference to a question about the Demon, not the RE.

And in regards to my tire.. They are 305-45-17-ET Street R's.
DR's for sure - legal for the street. I use them to daily drive on for most of the year. I never change tires when I go to the track. Just run what I drove in on.

I do swap them off for the winter though obviously. .And I disclosed the wheels many times. Its true, the wheels are not stock and that probably does affect the ET a bit.

And no warranry if anything breaks while drag racing, unlike the Demon.
With that said, it’s hard to measure the true potential of a 700+HP car on street tires. So yeah, “stock with DRs” is a classification.

Are you even reading what you quoted?

Yes indeed.

I screen-shot’d each of your posts using windows snipping tool.

You said OTD multiple times.

This is why you got so much crap because you kept saying you paid 58K with everything which is what OTD means.

You also kept saying stock with a tire, but aftermarket 17” wheels, diff brace don’t really count no matter how minuscule those mods are.

Either way, it is an awesome car. I hope to one day be able to get a hellcat charger, preferably a wide body model.
