Now we know why it took Ford so long to get the gt500 launched.... and why that launch sucked donkey balls.

Because they had the entire company working on trash called the Cuck-E.

Turrible.

Electric is the wave of the future.

Everyone ragging on this crossover with 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque (13 less than the GT500) that has the same 0-60 as the GT500 and magnaride suspension (can't wait to see the 1/4 mile times).

Compared to a Mustang GT it's 7 inches narrower, 2.5 inches shorter, wheelbase is 10 inches longer and it's only 9 inches higher.

Not like it's a new car built around older model headlights. ;)

I understand the whole Mustang name thing bothering some people, but change can be good and this is way better than the Mustang II.

Don't be surprised when the next GT500 is an awd electric monster, it only makes sense.

I don’t believe many (if anyone) doesn’t think the vehicle itself is neat.

I’d also guess most even appreciate that the vehicle is Mustang inspired.

And sure, the performance in the higher output configuration is going to be amazing..

The issue is Ford has designed a vehicle that is clearly NOT a Mustang, and decided to slap “Mustang” on it for recognition. So now, in the real world, the Ford Mustang is no longer just a pony/sports/muscle car.

So what it is called a Mustang. I agree, I wish they would have called it anything else. But, the narrow minded people that can't wrap their head around the fact that this has the potential to be a 10 second CUV... well, I am at a loss for words. This thing is absolutely bad ass. I guess I just have a very open mind. I have never been to a whole foods, and don't drink IPA hop water. What I do though, is know when to appreciate a revolution in performance.

That was an effing great speech. Have you ever considered running for high office? A natural.

I too have an open mind. I guess. To a limit.
I also appreciate Speed, Horsepower and Torque.
But. I like the 3 aforementioned to come from an engine. Sound, vibrations, smells, all that fun stuff happening while I feel the g forces.

For the most part im just having fun with it, the vehicle itself is for sure the future, its what people want so Ford will build it. Whatever... I cant argue that. But no matter what anyone says, its not a mustang.

I like it for what it is. Once I think the major bugs are worked out I may even buy one of the high models. I am with others that they phoned it in on the name. With it being electric it should of started with an E to go with Edge, Explorer, Expedition, Excursion, to fit more in line of what it really is. I can put cobra badges on a corvette and it still a corvette. Putting mustangs on front and rear does not make it a mustang.

Of course if they just gave it a random name it would be release and no hype news about it. Them giving it the Mustang name everyone and their brother are talking about it. Free advertising.

Take him to dinner already Johnny...

Ha ha. Well, he seems like a pretty decent chap so I'd probably be in for hoisting a beer with him. Before you get all jealous and bent out of shape let me reassure you that you'd get the invite as well. All good?

Now I gotta get back to the big show. Geez...the shit is really going down today.

May have missed it, but is there a base price posted anywhere for this thing?

Definitely should've been called something other than a mustang but aside from that, I'll drive it.

Actually was going to look into a Tesla in the next couple of years but this may be it right here boys, I can't really explain it but this thing looks oddly interesting LOL.

They will produce a minimum of 50,000 the first year and increase production based on demand. Nice!
