I’m confused...so my CFTP that I have on order isn’t getting built?!?!?

Meredith's letter was ambiguous and only adds to the confusion. Sounds like if your dealer put in an order for something they didn't have a golden ticket for it won't happen (unless they remove that option) nor would orders that went in where there was no allocation.

Snoop, it sounded like it was fairly recent but no date was included.

You don't have to worry, your car has already been built. The people that ordered a car with the Golden Ticket options and are on Unscheduled/ Material hold are the ones in jeopardy. If their dealer does not have a Golden Ticket allocation, the car is not going to be built.

My base one is built, but I have a CFTP on order as well.

If it doesn't have a VIN, I would be worried. That's the problem with the ordering system, a dealer can order as many cars as he wants without any allocation and that car will never be built. That letter states that if the dealer does not have any existing allocations (standard or Golden) he is wasting his time waiting for one.

Here is what that status looks like.

Unscheduled - Balance Out
The order will not be produced because the model year has balanced out.

My dealer did have a Golden allocation. I should be good but I’ll check more often.

She's saying if there is no allocation or Golden Ticket there won't be a car nor will there be any additional allocations at this point.

This to me is BS, you are in the business to build and sell cars. You design, engineer, test, improve, test, adjust and test again then you have the final product and you can't fulfill the demand for the customers that want to buy the product.

Why TF are you in business?? You hung us for 10+ months and now you toss this shit at your customers wanting to buy the car...…………….what a f-ing waste of time.

Somebody at Ford needs to be fired.

God this makes me laugh.

Another important piece from that, that needs to be remembered is that it says production will be stopped through the holidays until MARCH for the gt500.

My guess is this will be the last week of production until March, if it hasn’t stopped already. Then wait 4 months for production to start again and probably another month or so before cars start being completed and maybe another month until cars are delivered.

So after this first batch of cars that have been completed l would expect the next batch around July-August. Lmao

god damn ford. You really know how to get your customers fired up and how to keep them loyal to you.

The rollout of this car has indeed been a cluster****. Vegas softened the blow but doesn't erase some really poor decision making at the highest levels.

I've said it since day one, the Willie Wonka "Golden Ticket" business model is a failure from the enthusiast "looking to buy" perspective. It only serves to further alienate the core base and encourages gouging at every level. Yet Ford executives take pride in it as they see the demand and subsequent pricing as a victory. Couldn't be further from the truth. Sadly, a great car becomes hostage to some pretty arrogant and blind ignorance. Well done Ford. You have people looking elsewhere that really wanted to buy a car from you.

Yeah that letter just likely sealed the deal on me not picking up a CFTP in a couple years ...imagine the ADMs if they become a one and done.

It was mentioned this car barely made it to production...i wonder if that’s why the execs don’t care...because there wont be another one after this.

Do you even Mach E bruh

So now we know. We know why this car was pushed to the back burner. Ford has other things in mind.

I watched the unveiling of that thing they called a Mustang and it made me sad. I think those of us desiring a fire breathing V8 are a dying breed.

Ford has really screwed the pooch on the release of this. They really need Alan Mullaly, Colleti, and Nair back.

When the "Anyone else frustrated with Ford over the next GT500?" is at 6035 posts, you know Ford has an epic fail on their hands.

I second everything TOB has said. These unobtainium cars are just a frustration.

Coupled with the epic fail that is naming an electric SUV "Mustang", I'm really losing faith.

Whats the over under that
1) the EV mustang is in the wild before the GT500;
2) EV mustang clocks a fast 1/4 than the GT500

Interesting to hear that for the first 500 miles the torque is dialed back a bit for break-in.

You know, thank God for Jay. In a sea of social media retardation we still have something to hang onto. I hope he lives to be 150.
